Stunning start of the Heldeep DJ Tools EP series. Part 1 features none less than three blazing house tunes, kicking off with Billy Kenny & Aaron Jackson dropping a vocally charged groove where cool effects and twisted bass sounds take you to the deep end of the floor.

Speaking of Bass with a capital B, track two on this EP is delivered by Dutch DJ Bart B More, dropping catchy break beats over straight up house music, heavy on the bass and building one climax above the other - you’ll be going Down with this! Following this rollercoaster it’s Kyle Watson feat. Pop Art taking things deeper again, with a subtle groove, delayed effects and mesmerizing vocal breakdown. It’s a brilliant deep house tune, just like this full EP says a lot on all the sounds where dance music is going - Heldeep showing you where it’s at!

One half of Incurzion Audio, Wales' #1 drum and bass record label, Obsidian holds the Director of Strategy role and has a huge impact on the success of the flourishing label. Recently nominated for "Best Newcomer Label of the Year" Award at the coveted Drum&BassArena Awards, the label only goes from strength to strength, with Obsidian firmly at the helm.

Gaining inspiration from many subgenres of drum and bass and music genres further afield, Obsidian looks to harness his powerful knowledge of the music scene for his own creative output and begin producing his own music – a necessary complement to his previous achievements. 

Now an enthusiast for the deeper sound, with an affinity for weird techy synths and strong basslines, Obsidian has previously consumed many different flavours, such as Voltage and the more recent Kings of the Rollers releases. Still incorporating their bass-heavy tunes into his mixing today, it is clear that his history of varied music styles will culminate in a unique and personal sound when the production ball gets rolling.
