The great Canadian Bass talents L Nix and Outsider put together an outstanding, deep, dark and  heavy E.P titled The Land Of Ruin, which Iron Shirt Recordings will immortalize on there first 12“ cut to Vinyl, because this one should stay forever, everlasting!

Starting with the title track, The Land Of Ruin sets the standard and momentum of what will follow, a high quality atmospheric, dungeon esc presence with gritty mid tones and unforgiving reece melodies.
The remix by veteran Leon Switch (formerly of Kryptic Minds) delivers his signature sounds while progressing through sub pumping, mid range frequencies that delve into another dimension of darkness. 

Destroying Acheron (LV-426) lets a story unfold through sound. The opening sequence begins, atmospheres, melodies and bass start to progress through time, these events start to unfold with the introduction of a fearful reece that drives the song into the main chapters.

12  Hours To Darkness introduces a hypnotic melody alongside chords and weighty subs. As the title implies, the song begins on a lighter note that gets overtaken, the creatures come out to play, the sirens of the night are out, the intensity grows, the Darkness has taken over.

Finishing of the E.P is City Of Sins. Fueled by the introduction horns, that lead the song and continue to add to the distance that separates good from evil, its the perfect way to end this story, the story of the "Land Of  Ruin", a world with no answers... Bring up them this day of evil, destroy them; destroy them...

In 2008, Bodie was created off the back of a previous long-time Jungle alias, Mainframe, who was looking to branch out musically. Not one to shy from new ventures, Bodie has produced up and down the musical spectrum, but finds his home in the deep stylings of dubstep, and darker themed bass music. Influenced early with participation in punk bands, and later djing hip hop in the 90s, Bodie's eclectic background in fast, heavy, and conscious music has helped shaped his unusual approach. 2010 saw Bodie's first releases on Section 8 Dub entitled "Casketbound" & "Switchblade", which quickly led to the next release on Serious War the same year featuring "Drop It Out", and premiered Bodie's partnered production with IDro as 40z n 9z with "Cops Can't Stand Me". Over the next 10 years, he has gone on to produce songs of various styles for 12 other labels, including Gradient Audio, Keep Deep, and Sub Garden. 2019 has also seen Bodie become involved locally, with his residency at Portland's premiere bass music bi-weekly, FWD PDX.

For our eighth EP we have a solid 4 track offering from a new artist to the label, 'MediCated'! 

On our radar for some time now, we are very pleased to release these tunes via 57omen and share them with you all.

The first track, 'Peruvian Dub' sends the listener on a journey to lands unknown. A heavy bass line reminiscent of classic dub music and captivating melodies act as our guide! Big up!

Following the first is 'Love Dub', which captivates us all even further; full of skankin' and bass shakin! 'MediCated' shows his true love for the dub roots here with this quality crafted track.

The third track on the EP titled 'Principle Dub' shows even further the soundscapes he's created to pay homage to the principles and upbringing of the Dubstep we all know today. Jamaican principles paint the vibe just right!

The closing track, 'Clarinet Triplets' shares similar feels to the first three, but stands out as a true melodic masterpiece. Powerful melodies create a world of visions of dreams that takes the listener for a ride. The hard hitting bassline brings it all together to create a track full of wonder.
