1st Tribute mix of 2016 & I thought the best way to start it, is with my back-to-back partner: Dean Allen. Those unfamilar with the name he's the other half to the brand 'Studio 37' that we are involved in. Quick synopsis: we met towards the fall of 2012, introduced by my cousin 'Big Man C', currently at the time I was still apart of 'House Entertainment UK'. In the period of late 2012 - early 2013 I used to go a studio in Hackney, Door 37 run by an individual called: Alan - Thats where Dean used to be practicing mixing. Cut along story short thats where 'Studio 37' was born. Dean's been mixing for over 10 years & has been on many stations under an different alias, but interestingly enough he only got involved in House Music in 2012. Fast-forwarding into fall of 2013, Dean quickly adapted on the Producing side of things in that time he done a few piece's of work to test the waters:

In the time when Dean's not doing a release or on radio with myself (Mode FM Podcasts: https://soundcloud.com/studio37music/sets/modefmpodcasts) - We do a little concept entitled 'S37 TEN'(https://soundcloud.com/studio37music/sets/S37TenMixes), the premise of it is, we play 10 tracks in a half hour mix 100% Produced by Dean. They could be old, new or recent, released or unreleased, it just shows what we get up to in our spare time.

In this tribute mix I play mixture of Deans material, some you may have heard on radio or even on mixes. Favourites include: Daydreaming, Were You F'n Bin, Head Gwan Remix, Hi Ground & so much more. Call him the 'unorthodox producer'

Paul is an absolute legend in the UK music scene, known for his groundbreaking productions and his label Mokujin Recordings, which took the industry by storm in 2013! Pushing the boundaries of sound, Paul has truly become one of the original pioneers of deep tech DJing and producing. 

What sets Paul apart is his ability to seamlessly fuse different genres from the UK, including grime, jungle, drum & bass, dubstep, garage, and all aspects of house music. It's like a musical melting pot that creates a unique and electrifying sound that he proudly calls 'Hybrid House'! 

Paul has a monthly show on AAJA Radio every on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 8pm until 10pm and on Subtle Radio on the 1st Friday of every month from 1pm until 2pm.

Paul and his label have also been mentioned in articles from RedBull Music UK & The Guardian writing about the UK Deep Tech Sound.
