DJ Raptor: United Colors of Trance founder

Lui – a.k.a DJ Raptor is one of Australia’s Psytrance pioneers who is always on the cutting edge of music and production of parties. He first found trance music from travellers that brought the music on DAT tapes and since then has been absorbed by the psychedelic way of life. He has been djing and producing parties in Sydney , Australia for over 15 years hosting many international acts/djs and running Sydney’s longest running Psytrance weekly club. With his DJing, he aims to create a psychedelic space that brings the dancer out of the normal headspace into a real trance through drawing on his emotions. He does not compromise when laying down a set filled with rolling basslines and expressive psychedelic sounds. Recently he went on a 3 month tour of Europe and Israel performing at Engadin Spirit Festival (CH) and for Moksha Productions(IL). Raptor regularly plays alongside the major international acts such as Infected Mushroom and Hallucinogen and also plays across Australia with his list of achievements spanning the top events and festivals of Australia; having played at the prestigious Rainbow Serpent Festival for the last 8 years, Exodus Festival, NYE Doof Experience, Cairns Winter Solstice, Elevate (India), various events in New Caledonia, Soulclipse Festival (Turkey), Full Moon and Half Moon Parties in Thailand.
