Argentinian artist Sabrina Rivas returns to Magnitude Recordings, the label run by Francesco Pico under the esteemed Manual Music banner, with her latest EP Turbo Beat. After turning heads earlier this year with her remix of 'Indigo' by Yves Eaux & Azpecialguest, she now steps into the spotlight with a powerful three-track release.

The EP kicks off with the title track 'Turbo Beat,' a dark and rugged late-night progressive house bomb packed with raw drive and underground flair. Next up is 'Hypnotic Vibes,' a deeper and more introspective cut that explores the smoother, hypnotic side of progressive house while maintaining a steady groove. The release is rounded out with a remix of 'Turbo Beat' by Tirso Enriquez, who injects a dose of uplifting energy into the original, turning it into a groovy, infectious peak-time roller.

A storied artist with a rich seam of high-quality releases to his name, Nicolas Rada is a welcome addition to the Meanwhile catalogue with a superb twin-track offering in the shape of “Glasgow / Riot”.

Operating out of his Buenos Aires home, Nicolas Rada has been at the forefront of the Progressive House scene for almost 2 decades. As part of the artist roster under the Analog Agency banner, Nicolas has travelled the world, spanning the continents with performances in Australia, Mexico, Ecuador, Spain, Netherlands, Hungary, Scotland, and not forgetting his Argentina homeland.

Contemporaneously, a production career has seen Nicolas Rada scale rarified heights. From early work and almost a century of credits on Balkan Connection South America, to work on Lee Burridge’s Tale & Tone, Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and fellow countryman Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, the Argentinean star has shone brightly in the underground dance firmament with over 400 production credits to his name.

Now gracing Meanwhile with his sizeable talent, “Glasgow” is a typically powerful offering that revels in a thumping beat, off-beat hats and running 16th note bassline. Picking up the pace in the second movement, subtle melodic motifs begin to accentuate the rhythmic collage as they seamlessly develop over the 8-minute timeframe. Atmospheric pads and steam-pressured white-noise risers add to the overall feel as “Glasgow” hits its height in delay-infused melodic patterns that propel it forward to an epic conclusion.

The cleverly named “Riot” immediately excites with its complex rhythmic arrangement and bassline narrative that extends the vibe of its partner track. With bouncing phrasing, it syncopates effortlessly alongside a cascading array of melodic characters that build in dizzying fashion. Using vocal samples drawn from the classic “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” film, first used by the likes of Chicago’s iconic progressive breaks act, Grayarea, the spoken word melds effortlessly with the shimmering synth stabs and textured pads. The result is a 24-carat modern progressive jewel that sparkles from start to finish.

Making a welcome Meanwhile debut, Nicolas Rada lays down a powerful marker with “Glasgow / Riot”.

Based in Antwerp, Belgium, DJ Diego Riga has a lifelong passion for music and a deep connection to the vibrant Belgian club scene. As a fan of Break Dance Music and Belgian New Beat, he immersed himself in club atmospheres during the 90s, frequenting iconic venues like La Rocca, Illusion, Cherrymoon, Carat and many more where he was inspired by the energy and creativity of the scene.
Inspired by legendary Belgian DJs such as Marko De La Rocca, DJ Ghost, and DJ Yves, Diego developed a distinctive style that blends retro and modern dance sounds with heartfelt emotion. His musical palette includes House, Progressive House, Deep Techno, Deep Trance, and Retro, all delivered with passion and a genuine feel for the dance floor.
Although he didn’t perform in clubs during that era, Diego later brought his love for music into the DJ booth. Over the years, he has been a resident DJ at events like Gosto2night, Tomorrowlint, We Love Music, and Hype Events, as well as performing at local festivals and exclusive private house parties. His experience from the 90s club scene combined with today’s big events gives him a unique ability to connect nostalgic elements with contemporary sounds, creating emotionally charged and dynamic sets.
DJ Diego Riga’s unique style is a reflection of his lifelong dedication to dance music, offering an engaging journey that fuses past and present in every performance.
