Powertrance was the name given to Trance music which was pitched way up to 160bpm plus to fit into UK Hardcore sets, by the UK Hardcore heads, and was played by the likes of Juice + Cally, Hixxy, Mark EG etc.

A series of new mixes from me, after several years downtime. Available for stream/download.
I am trying to get some of my collection in to DJ mix format for my own listening, there is lots of styles of
'Hard Dance' from 1994 onwards, Happy Hardcore, Bouncy Techno, UK Hardcore, Trancecore, Freeform, Hardtrance, Hardcore techno, Gabber, Makina, Acidtrance etc.
Each mix is a live mix around 90 minutes long, mostly from vinyl, first take, sold as seen, no jiggery pokery, just a bunch of tunes picked out at random and mixed together, for better or worse.
We all know the classics, there's some included...I've tried to go for the B-sides or lesser played tunes, still great music in it's own right. As the series goes on, the mixes get more diverse.
I don't produce my own music, I have no affiliation with a label or producer, so you'll hear music from a wide range of producers, labels, genres, old or recent.

I've done the first 10 mixes, I'll try and upload one every few weeks, and I'll keep goin until I run out of music.
These are also the first mixes I've recorded straight to a laptop, it took me a few mixes to get the recording level right.

A tribute to the greatest ever room at a rave, Helter Skelters TECHNODROME, and all the DJ's who played the fu***d up, funked up, twisted Techno, often confined to warm up set.
Ribbz, Aggressor, Colin Favour, Dave Angel, Warlock, Ramos, Colin Dale to name a few.

A live mix around 90 minutes long, first take, sold as seen, no jiggery pokery, just a bunch of tunes picked out at random and mixed together, for better or worse.

Some newly created oldschool mixes, for stream/download. I haven't played any of my oldskool records for years, the last oldschool mix I did was over 15 years ago.
These 'Warehouse' mixes will cover everything from 88 to early 90's Rave.
Sub genres include Hardcore, Breakbeat, Jungle, Acid House, Belgian Techno, Italian Piano etc.

RV2 - Dreamscape 20 Part 1 - Oldschool Breakbeat Hardcore & Jungle

I started  DJ'ing / buying vinyl around 1995, and DJ'd at some Hardcore events between 2002-2008.
Most of my music is on vinyl, I have all kinds of Hard Dance genres...Happy Hardcore, Bouncy Techno, Freeform, Trancecore, Breakbeat, Hard Trance, Makina, Drum+Bass, Hardcore Techno / Gabber, Trance, Hard House...all from 1994 onwards.
Favourite DJ's from that period were Brisk, Clarkee, Fergus, Rush, M-Zone, Mark EG, Hixxy, Stu Allan, Mikey B, Vibes....

I used to post on Ush.net, Happyhardcore.com and Ukscene, the mix demo CD's I used to send to promoters I sent to some people who posted on those forums too, they seemed to enjoy the mixes, so as they haven't been available online since choons.net closed, all those years ago, I thought I'd put them up on Soundcloud. There was about 30 odd mixes, all of which I'll make available for stream/download.

As well as all the old mixes, I have been busy putting together lots of new mixes, trying to get all the music I love, into sets, so I can listen to them in the mix rather than just playing the lonely record.
All of which will be uploaded soon. The last 'new' music vinyl I bought I think was in 2010, so the new mixes will be a combination of all of the above styles, from the time period 1994-2010.
