A journey-esque set I played at Jono's birthday party on 29/04/23, ended up going through some new tracks and went for a lot longer than intended (as usual) ^.^ 
Started off with some deep & latin house, worked through some progressive house and more driving stuff, then ventured into tech house, hard dance and electro house, then ended with some punchy trance.
Prepare for some choppy transitions as lots of these tracks are new to my library and I didn't have a feedback speaker.

Been wanting to play a techno set for a long time but even though some people think its simple, a nice hard flowing techno set seemed hard to make. After my 3 month trip in Europe I felt I finally had a good enough library to start breaking it into a mix. These r some classics and some new thumpers I found around the traps of Europe, having German friends  and from loving this Genre generally. Didn't even play a Borris B song lol.

Introducing Late Night Sessions: A mix of Melodic, Latin & Deep Grooves. I press record every time I mix music if the option is there, and I've decided to start posting some of the accidental Late Night Sessions I've been creating at home, delving deep into my music library and figuring out what kind of soundscape I want to experience for myself. 

On this night particularly, I was really unsure of what mood I was in, and figured I'd give mixing for half an hour or so a go. I started getting pretty into it and struggled to pull myself away, and kept journeying from there. 

As this wasn't initially intended to be shared with the public, there's some jarring moments where you hear me rewinding or pausing out of nowhere, or at other parts I was in my kitchen making tea and nearly missed several transitions. However, I find that these moments give the mix more character, and more closely resembles our way of life. In any case, I hope you enjoy the evolving (and messy) journey just as much as I did.

Arcade Future Prog, Acid Trance & Seductive Psy: Misheen Productions 2nd Birthday 2024

How does one seek inspiration when they are feeling reclusive and aren’t receiving their usual stream of inspiration sources via extroversion?

Curating this set has been very special for me. As I have been lacking a lot of energy and inspiration lately due to some intense life things going on, I have gone inwards and delved deep into my past and psyche to rediscover many of my favourite aspects of my 27 years on this planet.
I have drawn inspiration from my experiences travelling across the world and living overseas, from my yoga and meditation practice, from my gaming world, from my love of classical music and Pink Floyd, and from my days of being a hip-hop dancer. I have also incorporated many songs that I feel as though my late mother would deeply resonate with, and in many ways, this set is for her. 

On the night, I was lucky enough to be playing after my dear friend and DJ extraordinaire, Emmotica, who journeys through a vast wordly soundscape during her progressive bass house sets, and my opening tracks were inspired as such. Being given the task to link between Emmotica & DJ Cakkou's psy-trance, the DJ playing after me, was a challenge I keenly accepted, as experimenting with new sounds, flavours and the way they interact with each other engages my creativity so much and keeps things the right level of neuro-spicy. 

I haven’t had the physical energy to listen to psy-trance lately, so I had to really sit myself down and ponder; How would I try to influence someone who didn’t like psy-trance to enjoy the experience of dancing to it?
And thus, this set was created.
Incorporating so many ethereal breakdowns and deeply resonating monologues really drew me in, as it helped to make me feel seen and understood. Once I felt like my vibrational frequency was harmonised with the music, I was able to slowly ramp the energy up from there, into my usual upbeat and ADHD style. 

My goal here was to create a safe channel for the individuals in my crowd to delve deep into their own life experiences, to reflect on what is and isn’t working for them, to find some peace and presence in movement therapy and, ultimately, to gain strength and ample inspiration to move in the direction that is most aligned with their higher self. 
I believe there is a huge amount of knowledge to uncover in the realm of healing through various frequencies, and I’m eager to continue my own research in this field and develop more and more sets dedicated towards healing in future. 

2024 was an incredibly intense year for me, but by slowing down and feeling into the Universal messages I’ve been receiving, I have been able to unearth a more grounded, real and authentic version of myself than I have ever been able to before, and for that I am immensely grateful.
I am so lucky to have a stage to showcase my art and a space to transmute my pain into beauty, and my highest dream is to share this with as many people as possible.

Her vast and varied musical selection enables her to traverse the realms of Psy-Trance, Brazilian Future Prog, Techno, Tech House & Bass House, with playful accents of 8-bit, Latin, acid, electro, glitch and more, creating a unique musical soundscape out of every set she delivers.

Driven by her passion and love for music and community, along with her remarkable skills in promotion and marketing, SMISH has cultivated tight-knit groups and garnered a strong following, making her a notable figure in the Australian electronic music scene. Her neurodivergent creativity and electrifying stage presence transform every show into an immersive and unforgettable musical experience.

Since her debut gig in 2021, SMISH has played at various events and festivals across Australia and Vietnam, supporting artists such as Shapeless (Brazil) and Dave Winnel (Aus). Her highlight achievements include playing at Initiation NYE Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks, NYX Festival, and being booked for Splendour in the Grass 2024 (prior to its cancellation).

As of November 2022, SMISH has broken into the event space by establishing Misheen Productions, an electronic dance music event series taking South East QLD by a storm. She has successfully executed sell-out events, including her Funk Misheen and Space Misheen warehouse parties in Brisbane, along with her first festival that she directed; Sol Vibrations 2024. 
SMISH also works in close collaboration with well-respected crews such as Wizards of Kingston, Lab Leaked Beats and Mystic Valley.
