Biography:
A Siberian electronic music collective, a duo of brothers crafting dark, intricate dub techno with a mastery of complex chord progressions and shadowy atmospheres. They specialize in creating profound, atmospheric, and minimalist sounds that are rich with intention, reflecting their moods, emotions, and the stark beauty of their surroundings.

A few years ago, they launched and have since been running the Siberian dub techno label [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], which has grown to feature over 100 artists from around the world. The label also hosts a popular dub techno podcast series, DUBBISM, which has become a well-known platform in the dub techno community.

On the heels of Crazy P’s hot-to-trot ‘Walk Dance Talk Sing’ LP, more appendage-shaking is set to ensue through the release of a full-flavored remix package. Band member Chris Todd, who is cited as Hot Toddy on his solo endeavors, repurposes the gentle, guitar-led jam “Something More” with his slow-burning dub. He elects stylishly sporadic textures that simmer behind a sashaying rhythmic framework. It will have heads reaching for the roof.

Born in Siberia and spent most of my childhood in Moldova I was exposed to a variety of folk and ethnic music. I always thoroughly enjoyed playing with my stereo and drumming to the rhythms using house chairs. Music always fascinated me as a tool of transformation into a different reality. I began my DJ carrier playing tunes at the house parties and friend’s birthdays and weddings. I live in NYC now more then two decades and consider myself a New Yorker. I organize dozens of concerts and parties in NYC each year. My music interests vary, I like to play across the board Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady, Jazzy Hip-Hop, Afro Beat, Funk, Disco, Retro, World music. I collect Vinyl Records. I love setting the dance floor on fire using my unique mixture of world rhythms. I produced “Swingin’Penguin” Electro Swing Parties, Soviet 80′s Parties, as well Multiple Live Concerts and Events.
