My ode to Chicago Footwork.

When you watch a footwork battle, there is a moment where the dancer becomes a pure physical embodiment of the music; the sound playing through the speakers is different; it's darker and heavier but still full of soul. This is battle music.

I'd like to acknowledge those who pioneered this sound and the struggles they faced for it to be taken seriously.
