Berlin’s genre-blending powerhouse Dina Summer - comprised of Kalipo (also known from electro-punk outfit Frittenbude) and the dark disco duo Local Suicide - unleashed their second full-length album Girls Gang earlier this year via Iptamenos Discos.
Spanning 11 tracks, the record is a bold and versatile exploration of themes like empowerment, outsider identity, impermanence, nostalgia, and human connection. While their debut leaned heavily into club-ready sounds influenced by italo disco and ’90s electro, Girls Gang embraces a broader sonic spectrum, weaving in elements of new wave, post-punk, and synth pop.

Following a string of standout remixes from DJ Hell, Damon Jee, Phunkadelica, and The Populists, the trio returns with another round of reworks by a circle of befriended artists.

Among them, French DJ/producer and Elektric Bazaar co-founder Karla Lynch delivers a driving reinterpretation of Hypnotized. With pulsing basslines, hypnotic repetition, and stark Berlin-style vocals, her remix heightens the original’s tension - amplifying its themes of desire, seduction, and surrender with immersive intensity tailored for the darkest corners of the rave.

Swedish phenomenon Tiger Stripes returns to Audiomatique with a funky little number indeed. Going by the name of ‚Glorified‘, this return to the fore (and of course the dancefloor) is a fitting addition to the Audiomatique catalog, ever growing and pushing cutting-edge, techy house and techno.

‚Glorified‘ opens with a tight swinging groove, an easy going vibe and a light and airy positive vibe. As we get quickly drawn into Mr.Stripes‘ snaking arrangement, an uplifting speech arrives from a preacher from the House of Jack! Smooth organs and high-end production values wrap up this unavoidable winner.

Acclaimed producer Rodriguez Junior lends his hand to remix ‚Glorified‘ and really delivers a stellar treatment - drawing out the introduction and adding tension. Pushing drums lead a pitching, super-stereo chord pattern as the filters open and evolved into an early morning anthem.

When the demo of ‘Scorpio Rising’ landed in our office, we knew immediately: this has to be released in the summer! A hook is a hook is a hook. And what Lannakise sang into the mic for LOPEZHOUSE is definitely a big hook with barbs that sticks in your head. A pristine pop house masterpiece from the La Mancha native. Our homie Jonathan Kaspar takes care of primetime in his usual skilful and efficient manner. Mule Musiq 232 - Alex Niggemann - The Birds II

'Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings welcome the Wild Dark duo for another EP that showcases the most authentic deep house sounds around. 

This brotherly pair from NYC have two decades of experience behind them and merge house, techno and natural vocals into moving tracks that have taken them to gigs everywhere from Burning Man's Robot Heart to Bedouin's Saga and labels like trueColors and Supernature. 

Here they open the EP with Mercury in Reverse, a blissed out and beautiful track with angelic chords and soft wavy grooves that cast a real spell. Tremble Road is then a little more driven, with rumbling bass and a darker mood to the grooves as exotic sounding instruments dangling up top and occupy your mind. 

The Slide then finishes things off with seven dreamy and deep minutes of lush deep vibes with organic shakers and gentle synth lines that really get you in a daze and keep you there.

This is a richly detailed EP full of timeless house that really moves you.'

Justin Marchacos returns to Brian Cid’s Endangered label with Megalithic Structures; a 6 track LP of powerful melodic techno & progressive house, which includes a collaboration with Berlin’s Midas 104.

Based in NYC, and a core artist of Endangered, Justin Marchacos has been steadily growing his profile since his first release on the imprint in 2018. As the follow up to his most recent EP on the legendary Cocoon label last year, this package of all originals is his largest artistic output to date, and a bold expression of his current musical direction.

“The Traveller” starts it off, and his background as a film composer is on full display with an extended orchestral intro. When the beat kicks in, high energy is shown right from this first track and the tone is set. “Invasion” follows and contains a heavy groove, stripped back production, and chopped up vocal samples that all create a fantastic swing. The title track “Megalithic Structures” is next up, and is the collaboration with Midas 104. Justin’s style, combined with Midas 104’s signature melancholic deep house and dreamy synths, creates a perspective of the sound of the future while at the same time referencing empires of old. “Pas de Chance” follows, and is the most driving track of the album and the apex of this plot. “Noose” signals a change in direction towards a more progressive sound, and “Pursuit” is the closer with full emotions released to end this chapter.

Justin describes the project: ““Feeling completely blessed to have the opportunity at this moment in my life to share some of the most powerful stories I’ve written... stories which bring strong, raw emotions to the listener. I wrote these in my own language... a language that is a reflection of my personality, but can be understood by anyone in the world. This is the beauty of music. I want my listeners to experience strange and unusual emotions...not just simple happiness and sadness, but feelings of gritty confidence, power mixed with bliss, wonder mixed with driving momentum, and pure joy. This collection of tracks has been years in the making, but firmly reflects my current aesthetic and the direction I’ve been moving as an artist. These tracks all have a very strong, personal meaning to me... and I could not be more excited to finally share them with the world.”
