Seit etwa 10 Jahren lebt @djahoy seine Liebe zum mixen. Inspiriert von den frühen Boiler Room Sets, began seine musikalische Reise auf einem kleinen Controller den er damals von seinem Freund bekam, mit dem er später zusammen das "Paradisco" Kollektiv gründete.
Weitere einschneidende Inspiration fand er bei seiner ersten Begegnung mit Italo Disco, welche ihm einen neuen Blick auf die Musik gaben.

Wir bedanken uns für dieses wunderschön verspielte Set, welches perfekt zu den Sonnenstrahlen passt, die uns am heutigen Tag den Frühlingsanfang einläuten. Danke Ahoy!

It was the second time for me playing in France, and the first time ever that my mum saw me play. 

She stayed arm crossed, sitting down on a chair under the shadow for most of the set before saying "it wasn't as bad as expected" when I finished.

Dedicated to all our loving & sassy mums - our biggest fans for sure 💛

Quem chega com tudo para a nossa edição 166 é a carioca Martha Pinel. Atualmente morando em São Paulo, ela comemora uma década na carreira musical, onde iniciou o projeto Croma no Rio de Janeiro, transformando a cena alternativa da época. 

De lá pra cá, já explorou diferentes sonoridades, chegando ao que hoje define como uma fusão única de musicalidades étnicas do que há de mais cool produzido no Brasil e no mundo - com foco em ritmos africanos e do oriente médio, space e italo disco, balearic, dance music, house. Tudo que seja groovy.

E esse mix representa bem a pesquisa bastante peculiar da Martha: a combinação de influências étnicas é construída sob um filtro late 80's / early 90's, sempre com doses saudáveis house, piano e groove, fazendo de cada virada uma nova maneira de se mexer e dançar. Lock in <3

Sunni has been making waves in the London club scene, lighting up dance-floors at iconic London venues such as Fabric, Jazz Cafe and The Cause, as well as supporting some of the finest selectors in the scene, including Millie McKee, Dar Disku, and Mafalda. 

Alongside musical partners Josh, Omar and Matt, Sunni co-founded Discothèque Tropicale, an exciting collective dedicated to celebrating borderless dance music and creative cultures from all over the world. Together with throwing vibrant parties at Cafe1001 and Night Tales, and playing renowned festivals such as Ion Festival and El Dorado, they are a licensed reissue label, with their first project set to highlight the sounds of Guadeloupe and the Southern French Antilles.
