A deep thumping bass rhythm underpins this somewhat introspective electronica arrangement featuring a synth arp solo at the end with booming hammering drums. Clearly still needs some EQ sculpting and finalization work. 

The higher quality mastered version of Channeling God Directly will appear on the album Anthems from an Alternate Reality - on track to release in 2023.

Channeling God Directly [pre-release]

I've been trying to capture the essence of what the feeling of being stranded and alone would sound like. Even in an environment that isn't deadly, but is devoid of any chance for escape. I'm still toying with the use of environmental sounds, or synthesized recreations of environmental sounds, this track has both.

We're Marooned Here [pre-release]

The first in a series of remakes I'm doing based on the songs I produced back in the 2000 to 2004 period when I was making hard dance beats on a PII Celeron OC with zero clue what I was doing. I liked a lot of the melodies and structures I built, but was never happy with the productions. So, Houston is the first one getting the re-do with a few more on the way (planned: Capture Box and Autodialer, and maybe T-53).

More ambient free form, ungridlocked, wandering. It's not quite ambient, but it's how I feel sometimes. It's what it is and nothing more.

The final version of Snow Jacket will be officially released sometime in 2023 on the album Anthems from an Alternate Reality.

Fooling around with the parameters and routing options of my primary synth to create a beautiful set of moving arpeggiations paired with a powerful sub-bass signal.

My minimal take on the elegant banger by Iakios from Moon Radio. This song is in draft state, there are elements that still need some tweaking and correcting before it would be "done" but I wanted to get it posted to do some test listens.

Currents (Djaii's MSMiiX)- draft

The original Keyhole Horizon suffered from excessive mono-processing that robbed any of the character from the piece. This version is properly widened, and mastered.

This updated version fully replaces the original (inferior) album version, and will someday appear in a compilation of remastered/re-released songs, or something. 

This version is download enabled and will get a release as a single on Bandcamp once I have a few other things taken care of.

The Crucible Xpanded

Keyhole Horizon (W113d_miX)

This is the final album version of Bay Bridge. It's been given the basic mastering treatment without the deep scrutiny, apologies if you hear any unwanted audible artifacts. I hope you have a 10" or larger sub for this one.

Monophonic groovy lead and bass lines with entirely haunted pad swells. The drums closely follow the groove of the lines and have some experimentation in parallel processing. Probably not EQ'd properly.

Sometimes with very little light in the room I just enjoy the sonic thickness as if I'm floating in the void of it. Weightless but massive.

Eridanus Supervoid

One of two tracks that just wouldn't finish back in 2012 that, upon reopening, appears to have been finishable. Mastered using the builtin SoundCloud mastering system. Pretty happy with the results.

Deep Spacer

No song I've written in 2020 encapsulates the view from the inside more accurately than Desert of the Real. Melancholic, soaring, and sad. Yet I feel like there is something hopeful in it, like a path to a place that isn't so dark. I acknowledge the probability that it's all nonsense - but it's how I feel.

Desert of the Real [pre-release]

DJ'ing and writing music off and on since 2000, I'm now getting serious about my production skills and professional output. I'm writing IDM/abstract, ambient, techno, industrial and some downtempo stuff. 

During the pandemic I started writing more ominous ambient-adjacent work using distortion, saturation and huge powerful leads and pads. I'd like to break into doing music and sound design for video games or indie films at some point. Even if that never happens, I’m thoroughly enjoying making music for me. Cathartic? Absolutely.
