Chilean-born DJ/Producer SIMPLY CITY began his music career embedded in clubs and raves in his native city of Santiago under the alias Cesar “Bass” Romero. After developing a reputation as one of the most in-demand DJ’s in his home country, he left Chile to begin touring across Latin America, Asia, Europe, and North America in the pursuit of launching his international DJ career spending many years travelling and touring the world.

It was Montreal, however, where he decided to root himself after much time abroad. Here, he gained a coveted spot as a resident at Montreal's world famous Stereo Afterhours, where he’s been engaging crowds and developing his sound for over 10 years.
Stereo’s globally recognized sound system, acoustic space, and dedicated club-goers gave Cesar the opportunity not only to apply his breadth of experience as a career DJ, but also to explore a variety of new musical territories. At Stereo, Cesar never fails to flex his mixing skills to an audience of “stereo-heads”; always taking them on truly sonic and atmospheric journeys through his music. Whether opening up the room for some of the biggest names in the industry or taking over the space for an “all night long” set, his mastery of tight mixing and careful track selection have garnered him respect both locally and internationally. Outside of DJing, Cesar has released several tracks on some of the most well-renowned progressive house labels; ultimately putting himself on the map as one Montreal’s most recognized progressive house producers.

SIMPLY CITY continues to play his music beyond Canada’s borders, and consistently delivers his infectious Stereo flare to audiences across the world.

Actually he is in a big moment of growth, he counts with his own Radio Show “Apricus”.

Alain Pauwels is a progressive house dj/producer based near Antwerp, Belgium.
Led by a profound love for electronical music, surrounded by passionate professionals, practitioners and a supportive progressive house family, Alain has been driven to share his passion of mixing sublime tracks and to bring joy across all boundaries.
Inspired by pioneers in the scene such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Marcelo Vasami amongst others and many well-respected labels, Alain started to dedicate himself in creating uplifting progressive house mixing, with an occasional flavor of deep house, organic house and melodic techno.

As from end-2018 Alain has his own ‘PROGRESSIVA’ show on Proton Radio, a US based digital radio station which also runs its own record label. Alain invites every month an international artist to provide a guest mix for the show. Alain also has residency on XBeat Radio, a French/Belgian digital radio station, providing his monthly ‘Elements’ podcast. 

His live dj performing path re-started mid-2019, after a sabbatical of nearly 20 years coming from the vinyl age. In that same year he became, and till date still is, resident at the Connecting Souls nights by Clay van Dijk. Ever since Alain has performed in clubs and on events where he shared the decks with Hermanez, Eran Aviner, Madloch, Lost Desert, Kasper Koman, Nicolas Rada, Marcelo Vasami, Alex O'Rion and Dmitry Molosh amongst others.

As from end-2019 Alain has started a collaboration with French producer Arnold Toutain, which resulted till date in productions which are released on Nature Rec, Musique de Lune, Future Avenue, 3rd Avenue. Each release has been supported by ‘El Maestro’ Hernan Cattaneo and many other well-respected artists in the community.
Alain is now also part of the Movement Bookings family, teaming up with artists like Alex O’Rion, Navar, Ruben Karapetyan and Hobin Rude amongst others.
Watch out for Alain as the coming years will bring more new music and gigs, which makes him here to stay!
