For our first podcast of the series, we present to you French DJ and producer, Farazdeck. An artist with multiple releases under some of the finest deep techno labels including Circular Limited (Spain), Indefinite Pitch (China), Secuencias Temporales (Mexico) and more. 

Last summer Farazdeck shared with us an intelligently crafted live set, casting a dense haze of otherworldly sounds which set a tone over Friday night's magic. Once we were gifted with this mix we had no choice but to invite him back to the valley this June...

This mix is an exemplary musical journey exploring different realms of deep atmospheric sounds. From the outset the listener is lured in by glitchy minimal textures that slip seamlessly into thick percussive beats. The high energy finale rounds off this mix keeping you gripped from start to finish.

Farazdeck | Above Below

Antepop (Tom Durston) is founder and editor-in-chief of Inverted Audio, an evangelist of raw techno and deep house. Practicing his art through vinyl grooves only, his selection gives full vent to extended blends of widescreen electronics, rugged techno and deep house.

This mix explores different realms of Tom’s vast record collection, offering a taster of what to expect at Above Below this summer. Deep, dreamy and ambient textures are a staple in an Antepop DJ set. However, during these two hours we will be travelling on a euphoric, progressive and driving journey. Well thought out energy levels and smooth transitions throughout, featuring records by Rising Sun, Traumprinz, Roman Flügel, Moritz Von Oswald and The Field. There’s plenty more where this came from…

39! From good pal and avid WHOMPer - ANNX 🙂 

@anna-rose-wirth has made a bit of a name for herself over the last year or so, throwing her epic WHOMP parties across London, with all profits going to amazing charities, primarily those supporting disadvantaged children in Nepal, by giving them the chance to seek an education.

Besides being a brilliant promoter, ANNX is also a pretty wicked  DJ herself. ANNX’s distinctly hazey, sexy sound, recently tore down the lovely Above Below festival and we’re delighted that after gawping throughout that set she allowed us to share the recording. Plug IN 💋

This set was made on a wonderful late afternoon in the Chiltern Hills UK, accompanied by a perfect sun/wind/cloud-mix and the most beautiful audience I could imagine.
Maybe more of a selector set, at least  something for lovers of diverse music :)

Before Sunset @ ABOVE BELOW Festival 2022

Delighted to share my DJ set recorded @abovebelowfestival. I played on Friday early evening 17:30 - 19:30, set within a sun-drenched valley in the Chiltern Hills. This is a super deep vinyl mix of what I like to call Dream House - using the filter to hazy affect. 

Sadly, this is not the complete 2 hour recording...something went wrong for the final 20 minutes, missing out Underworld's Born Slippy remix and original Nuxx version that I closed with...(shit happens).

Big thanks to the Above Below crew for the invitation and I cannot wait to return - late night set next time please : )

Whomp head-honcho ANNX joins us for the latest edition of the Fuaim series with a club-ready blend of psy-tinged rhythms and prog rollers. 

Anna has gone from strength to strength in recent years, appearing on lineups with the likes of Above Below festival, Gloria @ Macadam, and many many more. Her sound is refined beyond her years, showcasing sounds of stripped back progressive and psytrance proving her relentless skills as a digger.

Her talents as a promoter are no less. Co-running the Whomp party with Lora Mipsum, and more recently perspectives.ldn, she has become a staple for psychedelic music on London's club circuit.
