Ali Rehan, a Pakistani DJ, producer and guitarist born and based in Dubai, is now known as ASTRON.

Before he fell in love with electronic music, Ali's passion goes all the way back to 2001, when he started experimenting with the strings on his guitar and lost himself within the genre of rock and metal. He found himself wandering around all the different styles and types of music and in no time he started participating in Karachi's underground gigs where him and his friends used to play covers of other phenomenal songs. Fast forward to 2009, Ali made a life changing decision to quit playing guitar after his band '11th hour' came second position at an inter-university battle of the bands competition which was held at southend club, Karachi.


In 2010, he entered the world of electronic music and was enlightened to Minimal Techno/Electro House/Trance Music/House Music/Dub-step/Tribal House/Psytrance and his real music journey began there. The love for this genre opened many doors for him and inspired him to learn how to be a DJ professionally. The crowd in his parties who once used to be a small circle of friends started growing into a bigger audience and his skills caught him a handful of collaborations but the biggest one was with an event organizer 'Tribal fusion' and that boosted his career in electronic music.
By this time he was playing music in a wide range of styles including all the genre of electronic music but he still had alot to learn and was yet to discover what he's truly meant to do . He has played for events like DIMENSIONS, WINTER TECHNO, GRIDLOCK, DYNASTY, EUPHORIA, PSY TECH and so many more which were held in Karachi aswell. His music was well appreciated in more than one city and also won hearts in Islamabad. 

It became clear that his new found passion wasn't just a passing phase and would last as he made the decision to venture deeper into music. After moving to Dubai in 2018, he then discovered a new layer to himself which was his Psychedelic progressive side of trance music. He felt the urge to again explore new avenues within himself. This reinvention process conceived his current popular project, ASTRON by the support of a talented artist called SingleVision who works under the record label 'Digital Om Productions'. Singevision recognized his talent and gave him the opportunity to play his first gig in Dubai 'PLURESSENCE - LAUNCH PARTY'.  ASTRON (greek for 'Star') was then introduced. ASTRON then performed many gigs with 'PLURESSENCE' and being consistent with his passion, today he has made his way to the dance floors of Dubai where he mesmerizes you with his progressive psychedelic transcending you to a state of pure euphoria.

Knowing a true artist has always got something to learn, he also started to work on producing electronic music. After a lot of struggle and hard work he came with a Psychedelic Progressive-Trance track called 'Professor Trance' which was recognized by the record label 'A For Aleph' and gave his track the opportunity to be heard around the world. The track will launch on 9th September under the umbrella of 'A For Aleph' production on digital platforms. ASTRON will be releasing more songs as his journey goes on and lots of new sounds are in the making progress.

The future surrounding this talented artist is certainly going places, so get strapped in as the ride has only just begun.
