DJ Anders - Delivering Joy of Life EDM

FULL BIO: I have consumed music as long as I can remember. With the first 7” single bought from one of my weekly allowances as a kid – Abba “Waterloo” – my record collection started to build up. Starting out as a Radio DJ in secondary school, I soon got my first live gig 1983 in front of some hundreds of students at my school. Electronic music was early on, from “Pop Corn” with Hot Butter, via Jean Michel Jarre, to Kraftwerk and the full Synth Wave in early eighties.

From the moment I picked up Farley “Jackmaster” Funk with Love Can’t Turn Around most likely from the first import batch of that 12” Chicago House Classic in mid-Eighties, EDM has always been there in the crater. Totally hooked to “Joy of Life EDM” as I define it, I continue to spread the love vibes from the booth, with a contagious smile and energetic spread in full contact with the audience in high spirit. From the progressive sweaping meditative beats sliding over at the other side of the scale, via housy, techy, minimal and driving, groovy beats on the way, to the harder beats the longer into the night the set continues, they all fit in into my sets.

Feeling and dance-ability is more important than genre tag. EDM is constantly evolving, and so am I. 

I DJ with three aliases – DJ Anders (mostly focused on electronic dance music in a general sense as above, and here and there some retro/classics gigs), aBreathing (ambient and deep for relaxation, meditation and well-being) and rare occasions of Papa Abbie (roots reggae, dub and ska/two-tone, and the bassy flow of electronic dance music like dubstep/drum and bass). I also serve as a kind of “everydayness DJ”, with one so-called #daylist added almost daily, serving as a Music Diary / Soundtrack Of My Life – https://play.spotify.com/user/andersabrahamsson.

I love to mix the classics with the hot new tunage in a blend where I am closest to “Be the Change I want to See”, and living my vision RE:LOVE THE WORLD – “a world where you meet your fellow human being with Love and Respect, and can be expected to be met with the same”. My main in-real-world context is all things going on in the space related to NEMCOM - Norrköping Electronic Music Community.
