Ahead of his upcoming album ‘Impulse’, ilan Bluestone presents the Stoneblue remix of ‘Stranger To Your Love’ (feat. Ellen Smith).

At the forefront of progressive and trance for almost a decade, Ilan creates high energy trance with heart and soul. From barnstorming festival favourites ’43’, ‘Spheres’ and ‘Let Me Know’, to modern updates of genre classics like System F’s ‘Out Of The Blue’, Armin van Buuren’s ‘In And Out Of Love’ and OceanLab’s ‘On A Good Day’ and ‘Satellite’, his emotional, song-driven approach to dance music has earned him eleven genre chart #1’s on Beatport and a legion of fans around the world.

Songwriting takes centre stage on ‘Impulse’, his second studio album. ‘Stranger To Your Love’ showcases this emphatically, reuniting ilan with Ellen Smith. Frequently supported by BBC Introducing through her band Shadowlark, Ellen featured on ‘Scars’ album favourite ‘Rival’ and provides two contributions to ‘Impulse’. 

Inspired by his love of uplifting trance records, ilan founded the Stoneblue alias in 2019. Teased online through his ‘anthem tests’, Stoneblue tracks found their way into ilan’s sets at Group Therapy 350, Dreamstate and ASOT950. We’re thrilled to welcome Ilan’s Stoneblue project to the label.

‘Stranger To Your Love’ (Stoneblue Remix) is available to buy and stream now, with the extended mix available exclusively via Beatport until April 9.

ilan’s new album ‘Impulse’ arrives on Anjunabeats on May 7 2021, and gatefold vinyl and downloads are available to pre-order now through the Anjuna Music Store and iTunes. Providing a twisted counterpoint to the uplifting ‘Flying By Candlelight’, the second chapter of Above & Beyond’s ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ sees Jono, Paavo and Tony unleash ‘Distorted Truth’. 

This is Above & Beyond at their rawest, channelling the vitality of classic trance instrumentation into a track that manages to simultaneously be brutish and beautiful. Debuted during the band’s sold out Group Therapy 300 celebrations in Hong Kong, an attuned listener might hear a nod to the sounds of the Far East in the breakdown. 

Featuring both ‘Original’ and 'Club' mixes of three tracks that were part of the journey towards 'Common Ground’, the band’s 2018 album which debuted at Number 3 in Billboard’s Album Chart last February. Above & Beyond’s ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ includes ‘Flying By Candlelight’ (feat. Marty Longstaff), ‘There’s Only You’ (feat. Zoë Johnston) and ‘Distorted Truth’. The release is available on a limited edition vinyl press with the full digital package dropping on March 29th.

Grammy-nominated Andy Moor is an icon in the electronic dance music industry.
