Russian DJ and producer Ruslan Vashkevich heads back into Bonzai Progressive territory with the brilliant two tracker Thought The Smoke. Ruslan was last round these shores back in May 2015 with Bodhisattva which saw good support and features on top download portals.

Thought The Smoke intros with a pacey beat as punchy kicks get moving alongside subtle shuffling hats. A solid progressive groove is in the making and gets a boost with that rolling, chugging bassline. Sweeping FX glide across the sound as melodic phrases fill the spectrum delivering a surreal experience. The break digs deeper and allows that bass to hypnotize while the melodies continue to float by. Super deep and super groovy, one for the late night sessions for sure.

Laughing Buddha goes straight for the jugular with a solid kick that pounds out a tight groove alongside subtle percussions and rising FX. The bassline takes over and command authority as it rolls along with relentless power. Those sweeping FX add wonderful textures to the subtle nature of the track. On the break we get a glimpse of melody with a superb lead synth that captures the imagination beautifully. A proper progressive trip that will keep you wanting more and more.

[ENGLISH] Few collaborations capture the balance between technique, emotion, and dancefloor energy as perfectly as #LiquidSoul & #AceVentura.

#LiquidAce is exactly that: the fusion of two creative universes that helped shape modern progressive trance.
 It’s easily one of my favorite projects of all time — and their music has been part of my daily soundtrack for years.

In this tribute recorded in 2025, I gathered 21 tracks that tell this story through music, blending classics, remixes, and collaborations that define the sonic world of Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura.

Iconic moments like “Neurochemistry” set the tone, followed by direct connections between the two in tracks such as “Connected (Liquid Soul Remix)" and “Devotion (Ace Ventura Remix)".

 As the set unfolds, the Liquid Ace universe builds up layer by layer: from the more serious atmospheres of “Liquid Hook” and “Psychic Experience” to powerful collaborations with #Astrix, #Outsiders, #Ritmo, #Protonica, and other names that helped define an entire era.
The final stretch brings high-energy, modern productions— “Dimension”, “S1Mulat1On Nat1On” and “I Am” — showing just how intense and inspiring their sound continues to be.

More than just a tribute, this set is my way of celebrating the rare chemistry between Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura — where groove, psychedelia, and melody walk together — and of saying thank you to Nicola Capobianco and Yoni Oshrat for so much inspiration.
