The origins of dub techno can be traced back to experimentation by Basic Channel in 1990's Berlin, as they sought to combine the rhythmic elements of stripped-down Detroit techno with the dub recording process and effects of Jamaican dub reggae.

A chain reaction is a sequence of reactions where a reactive product or by-product causes additional reactions. Positive feedback leads to a self-amplifying chain of events in a chain reaction.

A macroscopic metaphor for chain reactions is thus a snowball causing a giant snowball until finally an avalanche results ("snowball effect"). This results from stored gravitational potential energy seeking a path of release over friction. Chemically, the equivalent of a snow avalanche is a spark causing a forest fire. In nuclear physics, a single stray neutron can result in a prompt critical event, which may finally be energetic enough for a nuclear reactor meltdown or a nuclear explosion.

Chain Reaction was a German record label founded in 1995 by Basic Channel members Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestus. The label's sound focused on a similar minimal and dub techno style to Basic Channel's, rooted in atmospherics and minimalism, but some have found Chain Reaction's output to be "more avant-experimental." The last record on the label was released in 2003.

When German techno producers Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestus joined forces to establish the duo Basic Channel in the early 1990s, they birthed this new subgenre. Oswald and Ernestus first released dub techno music under their label, Chain Reaction. Since Chain Reaction still created other genres of music besides this deep "dubby" style, the two subsequently came up with the idea for Rhythm & Sound, a label that would only release dub techno and dub reggae.

When Rhythm & Sound performed their interpretations of the Jamaican sound system culture - the sacred source from which original dub sprang - they drew inspiration directly from the genre's foundations. The music created by this label tried to capture the psychedelic, hazy, stoned sensations of traditional Rastafarian music from Jamaica's heartland. 

Dub techno originated in Europe and eventually reached the United States when Rod Modell launched his DeepChord project in Michigan. DeepChord is an American take on this strange, sci-fi-sounding style. 

Josh Baines (A Bullshitter's Guide to Dub Techno) compared dub techno to ambient music in that music of both genres acts as "background music" on purpose; it never tries to adventure into new and unique territory because its only purpose is to be "placid, unquestioning" and "deeply soothing."

Jiddu Krishnamurti was an Indian philosopher, speaker, writer, and spiritual figure. Adopted by members of the Theosophical tradition as a child, he was raised to fill the advanced role of World Teacher. However, he rejected this mantle in adulthood and distanced himself from the related religious movement. He spent the rest of his life speaking to groups and individuals worldwide; many of these talks have been published. 

Krishnamurti asserted that "truth is a pathless land" and advised against following any doctrine, discipline, teacher, guru, or authority, including himself.

The very first Art Academy of Latvia carnival was in 1929.

Dub is an electronic musical style that grew from reggae in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It is commonly considered a subgenre of reggae, though it has developed to extend beyond that style.

Dub music is characterized by a "version" or "double" of an existing song. A "version" is an alternative cut of a song made for the DJ to "toast" over, usually with some or all of the original vocal removed. These "versions" were used as the basis of new songs by rerecording them with new elements. Dub music and toasting introduced a new era of creativity. From their beginning, toasting and dub music developed together and influenced each other.

The Ouroboros is an ancient circular symbol depicting a serpent or dragon devouring its tail. It is often interpreted as a symbol of eternal cyclic renewal or a cycle of life, death, and rebirth; the snake's skin-sloughing symbolizes the transmigration of souls. The snake biting its own tail is a fertility symbol: the tail is a phallic symbol, and the mouth is a yonic or womb-like symbol.

One of the earliest known Ouroboros motifs is found in the "Enigmatic Book of the Netherworld", an ancient Egyptian funerary text found in KV62, the tomb of Tutankhamun, in the 14th century BCE. The text concerns Ra's actions and his union with Osiris in the underworld.

Berlin Techno has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, solidifying its significant contribution to the city’s cultural identity. This decision comes after decades of the scene fostering a unique space for self-expression and community. Berlin Techno was one of six additions to this list, alongside other German traditions from viez cider to mountaineering in Saxony.

Techno has shaped large parts of the city of Berlin since the mid-1980s. The scene took off during the aftermath of the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall. It was then, a time when much of East Berlin was empty, that abandoned industrial spaces in the German capital were transformed into nightclubs.

Black Square is a 1915 oil on linen canvas painting by Kazimir Malevich. The original was completed in 1915 and described by the artist as his breakthrough work and the inception of the launch of his Suprematist art movement (1915–1919).

In his manifesto for the Suprematist movement, Malevich said the paintings were intended as a "desperate struggle to free art from the ballast of the objective world" by focusing only on form. He sought to create paintings that all could understand and would have an emotional impact comparable to religious works.

The original painting was first shown at The Last Futurist Exhibition 0,10 in 1915. Malevich described the 1915 painting as the "zero point of painting"; since then, it has significantly influenced minimalist art.

Minimalism describes movements in various forms of art and design, especially visual art and music, where the work aims to expose a subject's essence, essentials, or identity by eliminating all non-essential forms, features, or concepts.

Valentine’s Day is when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. Given their similarities, it has been suggested that the holiday originates in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing of women with men by lottery.

Even though two snowflakes may form in the same cloud, their different journeys to the ground will affect their shape and size, giving each snowflake its own unique identity. You may never find an identical pair of snowflakes, but they can be grouped by similarities in their patterns.

Maurits Cornelis Escher was a Dutch graphic artist who made woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints, many of which were inspired by mathematics. Despite broad, widespread interest, Escher was neglected in the art world for most of his life, even in his native Netherlands. He was 70 before a retrospective exhibition was held. In the late twentieth century, he became more widely appreciated, and in the twenty-first century, he has been celebrated in exhibitions worldwide.

His work features mathematical objects and operations, including impossible objects, explorations of infinity, reflection, symmetry, perspective, truncated and stellated polyhedra, hyperbolic geometry, and tessellations. Although Escher believed he had no mathematical ability, he interacted with the mathematicians George Pólya, Roger Penrose, Harold Coxeter, and crystallographer Friedrich Haag and conducted his research into tessellation.

Dub part of the trilogy consisting of 3 mixes: Afro, Dub, and Raggacore.

Dub music is characterized by a "version" or "double" of an existing song. A "version" is an alternative cut of a song made for the DJ to "toast" over, usually with some or all of the original vocal removed. These "versions" were used as the basis of new songs by rerecording them with new elements.

Dub music and toasting introduced a new era of creativity. From their beginning, toasting and dub music developed together and influenced each other. Sound system culture influenced the development of studio techniques, and the earliest DJs, including Duke Reid and Prince Buster.

Mixed & recorded as a test mix around 2011, so don’t expect any perfection. This test was supposed to be deleted, but I forgot about it, only to re-discover it some time ago. Hooked on dub techno for years, I started to discover another close direction that could be described as dark techno (dark ambient and drone fusion with techno). As a result, I was moving more and more away from dub tunes to this newly found dark side of techno.

Hardijs Lediņš was a member and one of the founders of the group "Restoration of Unusual Senses". In the 1970s, events organized by Lediņš earned legendary status. In later years, Hardijs organized various performances and installations, recorded several solo albums and performed as a DJ.

Aivar Tõnso has been an outstanding figure on the Estonian electronic music scene since the early 1990s. As a musician, he has spearheaded several innovative groups and projects, the most influential being Hüpnosaurus (1991-1995, with Raul Saaremets, another legend of Estonian alternative culture and a John Peel Sessions staple) and Kismabande (since 1999). As a DJ, he has likewise been in the Estonian cultural vanguard, consistently introducing music which defies stylistic categorisation. 

Aivar Tõnso has also organised a number of cult events, starting from the underground club sessions such as Müsteerium, Vision, Electric Cafe, Reaalsessioonid to name but a few, and peaking in the international festival HUH/HEA UUS HELI (Brave New Sound). The events have featured performances by major artists such as Jimi Tenor, Pan Sonic, DMX Crew, Cylob, Scion, Funkstörung, Damo Suzuki, Auxmen, back to back with fresh talents from Estonia and abroad.
