AthenaLuv is a talented DJ who seamlessly blends techno and related styles, delivering electrifying sets marked by impeccable mixing and precise track selection. With a unique fusion of old-school vibes and a modern edge, Athena stands out from the crowd.

She began learning beatmatching in 2004, but her career truly took off after moving to Honolulu in 2020, where she joined forces with crews like Siren Project, Noisemaker Media, and DJ Sessions. AthenaLuv became a regular on Honolulu’s KTUH and Renegade Radio, and in the summer of 2022, she supported headliners such as TestPilot (DeadMau5), LA RIOTs, K?D, Kendoll, and more.

Now back in Boston, AthenaLuv continues to make her mark with a monthly show on Fnoob Techno Radio (UK). In addition to her DJ work, she serves as the Thursday Resident Manager for Fnoob Techno Radio, where she curates high-quality techno content and showcases emerging artists. Thanatos Vortex was conceived as a High School project in 2000. In the same stroke Psionic Productions was born. The result of that Project was the Album "Journey Through Sound" finished in 2001. 

Musical Background: Started Drum Core in 5th grade (1992 - 2001). Joined High School Chorus (1994 - 2001). Started Learning Guitar (1995 - Present). Joined High School Pep-Band (1996 - 2000). Running sound boards for Talent Shows and other events (1996 - 2000). Many Different High School Cover Bands (1996 - 2000). Picked up Bass and joined High School Jazz Band (1997 - 2000). "Eye of the Tiger" radio show on 98.7 FM (1997 -1998). Played Guitar for "Ice 9" (1998) *Broke Up*. Taught Guitar Lessons to Jr. High kids (1999 - 2000). Music Theory I&II (2000 - 2001). Played Bass for "Darkness Embraced" (2000 - 2001) *Broke Up*. 

"Thanatos Vortex" was born! (2000 - Present). "Psionic Productions" was born! (2000 - Present). Produced the full length EDM cd "Journey Through Sound" (2001).

Thanatos Vortex Started Learning how to Spin Records under DJ Snowwolf (2001). Spun many House Parties and Raves (2001 - Present). The First Rave Thanatos Vortex Spun: "Fire in the Sky" (May 25, 2002). "Psionic Productions" organizes it's first Rave, "Phase One" (Feb. 28, 2004). Thanatos Vortex Co-Hosted "The Afterhours" radio show w/ DJ Pardus on WMUA 91.1 FM (2004 - 2005). Went to Prison and while there Co-Formed "Blood Eagle" (2006 - 2008) *Broke Up upon Release*. Produced the Single - "Look Out For Charlie!" (2008) the first EDM track since his debut CD. 

"Psionic Productions" becomes registered as a small business (2008). "Psionic Productions" organizes it's second Rave, "A New Beginning" (Feb. 8, 2009) which began a series of Monthlies at the Liquid Nightclub in Manchester, NH. This series ended with "Tagged Up" (Sept. 20, 2009). Thanatos Vortex teams up with AbsoluteZero to form "Co-Defendants," a Mash-up Jungle Tag-team (2010 - 2011) *Broke Up*. In 2010 "Psionic Productions" had two more parties In which Thanatos Vortex spun Solo at "Spring Formal 2010" (Apr. 2010) and then performed as "Co-Defendants" with AbsoluteZero at "M'Alice and Wonkaland" (Nov. 2010). 

A number of non-Psionic events, indoor and out (2008 - Present) has given this DJ a fare amount of various Size and Shaped venues, and many different combinations of Gear to keep him on his toes. During these years of Psionic Parties and quite a number of Private Parties by Thanatos Vortex, he has continued to learn and hone his skills as a Sound Tech, and of course, as a DJ, he is continually learning new Tricks on the Decks, and mastering the ones he already has. Today, Thanatos Vortex spins Strictly Vinyl, using Long to Short Mixes, depending on what the Record calls for, and incorporating a number of Turntablist Techniques, such as Scratching, Cutting, and more, to bring to the dance floor a Unique Drum & Bass Experience.

Sound Designer, Sound Engineer, and Eclectic Electronic Music DJ/Producer from Italy. 

My main focus as an artist is what I like to call 'Cinematic Bass Music,' a mix of influences from deep, dark cinematic soundtracks and heavy underground bass music, with special attention on sound design and sonic explorations.

HydraTek is the name that summarizes my artistic vision:
'Hydra' recalls the mythology and is epitomized by an aggressive, distinctive sound that’s become my signature in both sound design projects and electronic music productions;
’Tek’ is about my continuous research for high-tech and futuristic sonic explorations, trying to push
electronic music forward to explore new frontiers.

The different 'heads' of the hydra are a metaphor for my eclecticism. The two polarities in the name can sometimes be found in a harsh contrast between delicate, emotive melodies and twisted, abrasive basslines.

With a strong influence and passion for modern film soundtracks, I strive to provide a concept and storytelling inside my music, even inside club-oriented tracks.

My current production style involves a combination of Dark Techno with a distinct cinematic influence, in which I like to insert melodic, emotional, deep, and a hint of brighter elements.
