While no stranger to playing for other communities stateside, he's also made frequent appearances in Berlin at parties like Staub and Pornceptual, and venues like RSO, Renate and the legendary Griessmuehle, As a producer, he has released music on Soma, Diffuse Reality, Otomo, Mainmise, Insane Industry and more--as well as releasing on his own imprint Oath, a label dedicated to his output with his most distinct point-of-views.

Emerging from Brooklyn’s vibrant warehouse scene, @djauspex has firmly established himself as a powerhouse in the underground techno community. 
As a tireless organizer deeply embedded in the city’s queer nightlife, he transforms techno into a ritual of power, self-exploration, and spiritual catharsis. His sets are an incantation of dark, throbbing rhythms from the furthest reaches of the solar system that guide listeners on a mesmerizing journey.

Auspex's uncompromising style has caught the attention of international heavyweights, sharing the stage with the likes of Phase Fatale, Randomer, Juan Atkins, and Rebekah. He’s a familiar face at NYC techno staples of yore like Unter, The Black Hole, and The Bunker New York, and has taken his talents from San Francisco to Miami and Washington, D.C. His frequent appearances in Berlin's techno scene have seen him grace legendary parties and clubs, including Staub, Pornceptual. 
This summer, Auspex made his debut at Berghain, further solidifying his presence on the global techno stage. 

In 2018, Auspex launched his party series, Dominion, in response to the growing demand for techno in NYC. The series quickly gained traction, becoming a hotspot for music enthusiasts. His growing profile led to him being invited to play the opening night of Brooklyn’s newest club, Basement, where he established a residency with his conceptual party, ALTÆR, which has hosted an impressive lineup of international talents and created a haven for cathartic dance experiences within the queer community.

Drawing from his background as a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and sound designer, Auspex released his debut production work in early 2019, setting the stage for an impressive catalog of EPs across esteemed labels like Soma Records, Diffuse Reality, Otomo, Mainmise and more. 
His vision culminated in the creation of his own imprint, Oath, where he curates his work with a uniquely personal touch.

Brooklyn-based record label Templum opens their gates with a rite of passage from label head honcho Auspex. 'The Absent Guard' is a seven-track suite marking a turning point after his previous Oath chapter, delivering a full-bodied descent into sweat-soaked club momentum...‘Emergence’ levitates like an encrypted signal from some distant psychic frontier. A flurry of ultra-refined hi-hats slice through trance arpeggios, while a seismic low-end keeps bodies magnetised to the floor. Midway through, the structure liquifies into something mesmerising, rising from the mix like a phoenix draped in fog and sweat.

Opener 'Transdimensional Malaise' layers up overloaded circuitry with bleeping synth sequences and a barrage of drums that power into the next dimension, whilst 'Child of Infinity' drops you into a world of circling and loopy synth motifs, menacing drums and bass and fractured vocal fragments that are the only signs of human life.
'Emergence' is a thudding deep techno transmission run through with pulses of synth sent from distant planets, and 'Phantasm' gets trippy with psychedelic colours and a mirage of shimmering keys that sound like paranoid voices deep in the back of your mind. There's a sense of impending cosmic warfare at the dark, pounding heart of 'Divine Synthesis', and that tension carries on through the tightly coiled, anxious techno funk of 'The Absent Guard'. 'Providence' provides a zoned-out trip to infinity with serene pads calming the mind as the drums march on with a sense of subtle hope for a brighter future.

His vision of techno as ritual, darkly throbbing, hypnotic and cathartic, comes alive in sets that weave long, mind-bending blends charged with intensity and release.

He has shared stages with artists from Phase Fatale to Rebekah, played NYC underground institutions like Unter and The Bunker, as well as Berlin's Staub, Pornceptual, Gegen, RSO, ://about blank and most recently Berghain.

Founder of Dominion and later the residency party ALTÆR at Basement, Auspex has created intentional spaces for discovery, reflection and queer community on the dance floor. Beyond DJing, his classical background informs his productions, with releases on Soma, Diffuse Reality, Mäinmise, Oath and more, alongside his own new imprint, Templum.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ AUSPEX

Having cut his teeth over the last decade coming up through Brooklyn's warehouse scene, NYC-based Auspex has solidified himself as a regular fixture and contributor to its underground techno community, a DJ, producer, label boss and tireless organizer very much at home in the city's vibrant queer nightlife scene.
Having made regular appearances over the years at such legendary parties like The Bunker, Merge and Unter, he soon found himself at the helm of the transcendent party ALTÆR when Basement emerged onto the club-scape. Now six years running, ALTÆR has become known for its immersive and music-driven line-ups, pulling the together some of the world's best international techno and house talents. He's also made frequent appearances in Berlin at venues like RSO , Griessmuehle and most recently Berghain, as well as appearances at underground functions like Pornceptual, Gegen and STAUB.
Most recently, he launched his own techno imprint Templum to showcase his production work and some of the hottest and most prolific producers of hypnotic and raw techno working in the industry today. With a healthy and robust release calendar already in the pipeline, Templum is poised to become a major source of dance floor fire power in the months and years ahead.
Musically, Auspex conjures techno as a space of collective hypnosis—with sets that move with fluid precision and driving percussion through intergalactic expanses, leading dancers through spiraling grooves and sensory depth, shaping an experience that's equal parts body ritual and psychedelic voyage. As a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, his compositions are in infused with narrative tension and a rambunctious mischief, driving dance floors to bedlam and then back again.
