Blissful atmospherics, balmy grooves and tripped-out house cuts from Superconscious Records honcho Fantastic Man. With arguably some of the finest productions in today’s left-of-centre dance music making up his personal canvas, the Melbourne native is fresh from delivering the inaugural release for Love International x Test Pressing’s new imprint, as well as releasing his debut long player and a collaborative EP with Roza Terenzi. We caught up to get the latest and he’s graced us with a sublime two-hour mix.

New Brvtalism No. 080 - Nicolas Bougaïeff

The 41st edition of our mix series comes from Nadia Anderson and Rosie Cain, a.k.a. Dimensions Festival DJ Directory affiliated and Balamii Radio regulars Kiara Scuro. The duo have been popping up all over the place of late with appearances at Dimensions, Gottwood and most recently as part of Red Bull's 'Get Down Early' series which saw Legowelt warm up for them at Corsica Studios. We're expecting huge things from the talented pair in 2019 and we're thrilled to have them contributing to our mix series with this absolute cracker. Slightly lighter in mood than their usual offerings and including an incredible selection of chuggy tracks from the likes of Roza Terenzi, Zombies in Miami and Balam, it's very much appropriate for either day time or night time listening.

We've been big admirers of Bristol-based Idle Hands employee Sam Hall for some time now, having brought him to Sheffield for a PPG x Idle Hands party in August 2016, so it's a real joy to have him step up to provide the latest entry to our mix series two and a half years on. Clocking in at 2 hours and 15 minutes and featuring no less than 26 of his wonderfully weird selections, the vinyl only submission is our longest and most trippy for some time. It's a genuine journey spanning a wealth of brilliant music, most of which we've never heard before, and including a bunch of usually peak-time records played at the slower 33rpm speed. Held together by a dubby aesthetic and a chuggy tension that caresses, warms and excites in equal measure, we suggest you lock in for the duration with this one.
