Memory Remains boss Kirik joins forces with Miami’s Imbue for their collaborative ‘On Distance’ EP, comprised of four original cuts and hitting shelves in January 2024.

Kirik is a producer and DJ coming out of the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson who over the years has been steadily unveiling his take on contemporary house via the likes of EWax and his own numerous imprints Uzvar, Colors Of Crocus and Memory Remains where he returns here.

This time Kirik pairs up with the Miami based trio Imbue who add their dynamic instrumentation to the project through guitars, piano and synthesizer improvisation.

Opening the release is the jazzy funk infused ‘On Distance’, laid out across seven minutes with an amalgamation of guitar licks and looped hooks alongside plucked bass tones, strings and
organic rhythms combined to create a psychedelia tinged twist on House. 

‘All Right’ follows next and shifts gear into a more classic house feel, employing Latin percussion and wandering keys
alongside guitar melodies and soulful vocal chants.

Opening the flip-side is ‘Lovers’ with its acid bass groove, intricately intertwined synth stab sequences and crisp drums all underpinned by Imbue’s hypnotic musicality. 

‘Son Us On’ then rounds out the release, diving deeper into House courtesy of bumpy low-slung drums, airy synth chimes and plucked guitars merged together with an underlying dubbed out and subtly unfurling feel.

Montreal based DJ and producer Ostrich debuts on Sublease Music with a double a-side release. Ostrich has already carved a path as a DJ and producer, pushing a minimalistic sound that pulls from downtempo, dub, deep house and techno.

Double Dribble, the title track provides an infectious bassline and airy pads floating on a super tight rhyhtm-section.

In contrast, his second track, Too Dumb To Succumb The Drum focusses on a driving multi layered drum pattern with a wobbling bass and synthie stabs winding their way through, before turning into a futuristic deep house cut.

London based James Dexter returns to Sublease for a stellar remix of Double Dribble. Synth-melodies and housey pads ride on a seriously heavy punching beat setting.

Two new heaters arrive from Deeplomatik on Sublease with his Inside My Mind EP. 

Warsaw based DJ and producer Deeplomatik has been known on the underground circuit under numerous aliases for the past 20 years. 

This release showcases a deep knowledge and feeling for the deeper end of house, with the title track the perfect mix of chugging groove and tasteful chords. 

Dilby gives the track a different flavour with his rework, stipping it down to the elements and focussing in on the groove. 

Last up is Deep Wolf, a slick and slinky groover with sublime pads and a hypnotic vibe.

Extrasketch is back with a bang. Butane and Riko Forinson combine forces once again on ‘You Make Me’, adding yet another stand-out EP to their impressive catalog.  

Dating back to 2019 with their first collaborative release, Extrasketch 014, the duo has certainly come a long way, making appearances together on eighteen further EPs on the imprint. Extrasketch boss Butane and his trusty production partner Riko Forinson continue to serve up their highly creative take on underground-focused dance music, spanning the breadth of deep house, techno and beyond. Delivering their first tracks together of the year, late March welcomes a trio of fresh house offerings as they link up once again on ‘You Make Me’.

Dubby and heady, yet driving and hypnotic, title cut ‘You Make Me’ is straight-up, no-nonsense house business made for the floor, with the track’s provocative female vocals ebbing and flowing in the mix. Imploring party-goers to 'Stick Around', the next cut veers towards more sun-drenched shuffling spheres, with skippy drums and shimmering lead melodies. ‘What I Need’ brings a timeless and classy balance of warped synth lines and soulful vocals to close the show.

Bouncing effortlessly from one planet to another - the La Zic dreamy spaceship stops in the UK with Reenday in charge of the third label release. After his recent appearance in the 'Lunar Grooves' series - the London-based young talent now makes his debut official with 'Give Away' EP. As in proper La Zic fashion, the EP features three hazy originals that melt together hooky vocal samples, tight minimal house rhythms, and vibrant bass licks, with Italy's Francesco Mami (Get Physical, Rebellion) giving his own twist to the lead track bringing progressive-ish driving sounds and wider grooves into a bursting, flaming remix.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 05.01.1989, Onofrei Bogdan Ionut (aka AVIRRA) discovers electronic music at the age of 14. Obsessed of techno music and house, in 2007 he starts producing music. After 2 years, he sends in 2009 his first song, “Bustle”, to an Italian label (Underscore). The track came out on a “Various Artists” record. In the same year his first Ep “Diffusion” comes out, containing three original tracks, at a German record label (Documenti Sonori Records). After no more than a month comes out the remix for Mollo, with the track “Fuck The Nanny”, launched at an Italian record label (Eklero Records). 2010 started with a lot of great tracks for Avirra, receiving many feedbacks from a lot of djs and producers, both Romanian and foreign. The most successful track was “Melted Acid”, launched in 2010 at the label (Punch Underground) from Argentina, the track being played by a famous electronic music artist, Richie Hawtin.

The artist began to mix in 2008 at various organized parties and clubs. 2010 was the best year for Avirra, when he started playing in clubs and venues in Romania: Barocco Club (Bucharest), Glow Club (Bucharest), Jou Jou Club (Bucharest),Grua Club (Cluj Napoca), Coccon Club (Brasov), Times Pub (Brasov), House Of Pub (Brasov), Iguana Club (Barlad), Obssesion Club (Barlad), Fusion Festival (Sibiu), I Love Sopa Festival (Sibiu), Cotton Club (Sibiu), Liquid Club (Sibiu), SibSonic (Sibiu), Naf Naf Pub (Sibiu), Prohibition Pub (Medias), The Bar Code (Medias), Kaldi Cafe (Tg. Mures), Habitat (Alba Iulia), La Poarta (Alba Iulia)...etc.

He was nominated at the “Nights Awards 2011”, at the section for “ Best Romanian Dj in 2010”, where he ranks 36th.
Avirra collaborates with both Romanian and foreign artists. In 2010, he meets Claude Daniel, at the Red Carpet Club. In August 2010 he launches his first Ep, “Take me” at the (High Seven Recerds) label, in France, under the name of Claude Daniel & Avirra.
In January 2011, he launches the track “Jeanine”, under the official stage name “Audiosound”. The track came out at the (Dephone Recording) label in Spain. In February comes the second Ep. “I Wanna Take You” was launched by (High Seven Records), France.
The two artists work on their own tracks.

Avirra’s favorite genres are: Minimal Deep Tech, Deep House,Tech House,Techno and Organic House.
