Serendipity Sunday Sunrise Mix

After the Man burned this year, a party randomly developed at my camp Shangri-Lawless. We just started serving drinks, Kim.B decided to spin a few tunes, and all of a sudden we had a packed house. This was my favorite night of my first Burn. Everyone had so much energy and the vibe was a combination of gratitude and pure elation.

At some point, I randomly jumped on to play a bit and ended up bouncing around for a few hours. Ableton wouldn't let me upload more than this, so the early part of my set (including the random half-hour haus music sesh) will be up soon.

I hope you all enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed playing it. I may or may not have been a bit too burnt up and may or may not have spaced out at the end of this mix.

DATPHAT Live @ Burning Man 2014  Burn Night (Shangri-Lawless)

This is my tribute to the one and only Pumpkin. He inspired me, one late summer afternoon, when I stumbled upon his live set at LIB in 2012. From then on, I made sure to catch every live show of his that I possibly could & every damn time the energy I felt on the dance floor was better than any other dance floor. It was always packed with many, many smiling faces full of new & old friends, brought together. History in the making - I knew right then and there that this is what it was all about. After hearing of his tragic passing in 2016, I felt a strong calling to carry on the duty of spreading love on the dance floor. It was at that point, when I started taking DJing more seriously on a more public scale. So this is for you, the fans, the ones who never got to know who he was, and Nick the Neck, up there in the sky, dancing in paradise. 🌰

Unicorning So Hard - Public Works

Here is my set from Rainbow Serpent Festival 2018. So so so grateful to be able to share my music again at this magical event. I've never felt more comfortable, relaxed and open as I did when presenting my music on this morning. To have so many people dancing at 4:30am on the chill out floor was totally overwhelming and a moment i will never forget. Also a massive THANK YOU to all the tribe who came down to support and see me play. It was such a nice surprise and i am grateful to have all your beautiful energy there. 🙂 🙂  

A special mention to Maddy Lou for recording the spoken word piece at the start of the set. We recorded this in the forest on the land at the beginning of the festival ❤ ❤ I hope you all get as much enjoyment out of this set as I did producing and playing it. I shall see you all in the near future 🙂

MOONTIDE - Rainbow Serpent 2018 - Chill Floor

2 years later,  Its still hard to believe that our friend Pumpkin is gone.  I had DJ'd a show with Nicholas in San Fransisco just 1 week before the accident and I'll never forget the morning I woke up to the news of his passing.  I instantly felt the hearts of so many being shattered including my own.  Since that time all I have felt is those shattered hearts come together and become stronger as Nicks legacy, music, and love lives on with us everyday.

Pumpkin will always be one of my favorite DJ's with his impeccable taste and the ability to touch the hearts of everyone on the dance floor thru music. This tribute mix was recorded following his Celebration of Life on Monday April 4th, 2016 and shared with some of Nicks closest friends at the Boogaloo Crew HQ in Los Angeles <3

Well...I was supposed to be playing Shambhala Music Festival this weekend, but we all know why that's not happening.
