Brass Tax had our own stage at BOC this year, tucked away from the fray up in a corner, and we couldn't have been happier with seeing all the beautiful (masked) faces who came by to say hello! In addition to being my first public appearance since NYD 2020, this is one of my favorite sets I've ever played, full of funky, soulful house, midtempo breaks, and groovy rolling basslines. We didn't get a recording at the festival, so I decided to recreate it live from Bowerbird. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Doctor Flake live Dj set, enregistré le 17 juin 2023 sur l'alpage du Danay à La Clusaz pour l'évènement "Le Champ des Platines".

"Quel plaisir de pouvoir partager ce set dont l’enregistrement avait peut-être été menacé par une coupure d’électricité ! 
Je connaissais la vallée des Confins et la vallée du Bouchet mais n’étais jamais monté entre les deux, en terre bornandine, sur l’alpage du Danay. Un nouveau panorama s'inscrit alors au palmarès des panoramas. Contemplatif à souhait, ce fut le sunset spot ultime de l’été depuis le booth perché quasiment au sommet de l’alpage. Magique. 
Il y a des dates qui vous laissent des souvenirs intacts et impérissables, celle-ci en fait partie. Entre le lieu, la réceptivité crescendo du public, le regain d’énergie avec les soucis techniques, la bienveillance et le professionnalisme de l’organisation, tous les ingrédients étaient réunis pour un moment de communion et de partage sonore de haut vol où chaque morceau joué pouvait être le dernier.
La plupart des titres du set seront identifiés par Shazam alors si vous aimez, surtout n’hésitez pas à les rechercher et à les partager autour de vous. C’est dans cet esprit de partage et de transmission que s’est construit Radiomeuh et c’est dans ce même esprit qu’elle perdurera :)

To have so many of the old school Bay Area burning man crews pool their energy and resources to bring community together into one place, was just phenomenal. When Tamo first told me about the plans for the event, I got really excited, especially when she told me that there would be turntables poolside. I immediately started digging through my vinyl and reminiscing of the days when we would all dance together to these records. Each one of these tracks is like an old friend and getting to play them again for a dance floor of chosen family was a real treat. As unpredictable as a "fart in the wind," this edition embraced chaos while still keeping the vibe electric and upbeat.
