I have made mixes in support for many communities. I made one for Black Lives Matter. I did one for pride month. I’ve done mixes for various fundraisers. 

Recently, when I wanted to create one in support for my own community, I thought it might be too controversial. I may even lose some of my listeners. Then I realized, that’s exactly why I have to make one. Supporting Jews is not a provocation. Supporting Jews is not partisan. Supporting Jews does not mean you stand for the oppression of others. Standing against antisemitism should not be controversial. 

When my heart breaks, I feel safest expressing it through music. All other forms of communication seem to only divide. So I’m going to stick to that. 

To the festival community that I have always vocally supported, know that your voices of support for us are needed and missed. 

To my Jewish friends and family, Chag Pesach Sameach. We will dance again.

This series is made not for the raging dance floor but for chilling with friends, starting off an epic day, or just on a really dope sound system or headphones. These mixes are comprised of current tracks I have gathered and also some classic tracks from the last couple decades. All of the tracks I believe in completely. I like the challenge of mixing different genres and styles into a complete 80 minute aural pleasure field. I love playing live and throwing down funky dance music but I also love these deep grooves. I put a lot of thought, time, and emotion into gathering these tracks, figuring out how to put them together, and mixing them into the final mix. It is a creative and sometimes difficult process but it is so rewarding to complete it and post for others to enjoy. This mix is truly a window into me and into a sampling of the tracks I love.
