okay, my first official gig after 1 1/2 years with the sound i usually play. from my feelings i was super happy that it is slowly starting again, again among people until the early hours of the morning. but also a strange feeling, when i started, it felt like the last party was just last weekend. i don't know what this feeling or emotion is telling me... all i know is, i was super happy when the first kick after the intro made the floor shake. thanks to everyone who was there ... even if I say and write this quite often, this time I mean it all the more. 🙏

i thought for a long time whether i would share my closing set from the heizhaus open air. now i'm sharing at least half of my set.

Basic Groove, ein Mann wie ein Baum und langer Guter Freund in unserem Hause. Seit Jahren versteht er wie man feierfreudige Gäste auf der Tanzfläche in Ekstase schwingen kann. Verständlich! Er ist auch ein alter Hase, was das Auflegen angeht. Egal ob auf Flyer oder im Facebook, sein Können spricht für Ihn und garantiert immer für viel Aufmerksamkeit. "YES" schreien wir, perfekt und wie er es wieder gemacht hat. Einfach nur super, Haste jut gemacht!!! Deshalb freuen wir uns, hört einfach seinem Spiel mit 100% Vinyl zu.

CENTRUM CLUB - PODCAST VOL 2 - [MIX BY BASIC GROOVE]

Uiuiui was man nicht alles findet wenn man die externe Festplatte mal durchschüttelt. Hier ein Fundstück welches ich euch nicht vorenthalten möchte =)Ein hoch auf den DAT-Recorder der aufgenommen hatte =)

Auf der Bienstädter Warte bei Gotha war ich Resident von 1999 bis 2003. Nach 2003 veranstalteten dann die Leute vom MFS-Amt auf der Warte Veranstaltungen. Da wurde ich natürlich auch gebucht. Dieser Gig ist allerdings mein letzter gewesen auf der Warte. Ich hatte sowohl zu T-Mag & District Events Zeiten als auch zu MFS Amt Zeiten tolle & wirklich wunderbare Momente in meinen Leben da oben miterlebt. Wenn bis spät in den Sonntag Abend hinein gefeiert, gechillt, gegrillt, geliebt & getanzt wurde.

Von der BPM natürlich bei weiten schneller als Heutzutage. Aber wem soll ich groß mein Stil erklären... ich denke das mich noch viele kennen von der damaligen Zeit und wissen was ich gespielt hab =)

Und nun... fertig mit lesen... auf gehts mit hören =)

Nach über 10 Jahren hab ich mal wieder in Jena gespielt. Diesmal machte ich halt im Manga Club. Ein wirklich sehr sehr schöner Club welchen ich jeden ans Herz legen kann zu besuchen.

every year, on the third weekend of june, the kraemerbrueckenfest takes place in the city of my hometown erfurt. experience the 48th kraemerbruecke festival from 13 to 15 june 2025 and immerse yourself in a festival of art, culture and entertainment. all over the city, you find places where music is played, and everything is colorful.

after almost 2 years since my last performance on the ost-terrasse petersberg, i had the honor of playing the ending that evening from 10 pm to midnight. this year too, i only performed a few times due to health reasons. 

so, the performance was almost 5 months ago. but it is definitely worth hearing, which is why i'm sharing my recording with you. my set is full of songs that i simply love. let me know if you love it and thanks everyone for a really great evening! happy to see so many good friends and new people. 🙏

Ich sage Danke an alle die ab 2 Uhr dabei waren... es war mir eine Ehre und hat mega Spaß gemacht! :) Ein großes Danke an Ric von der Rhythmustherapie und dem Manga Club die diese Nacht ermöglicht haben. Ich hoffe das es irgendeine Möglichkeit gibt das Manga am Leben zu erhalten... die Clubkultur stirbt eh schon an allen Ecken und Kanten in Thüringen aus. 

In diesem Sinne hoffen wir auf das beste für diesen Club der schon einige starke Acts hinter dem Pult stehen hatte. :)

KLANGKINO Podcast #043 I Basic Groove

1999 - 2016 ...die Tore sind nach fast 17 Jahren für immer zu. Ein schönes Closing war es... tolle Kollegen haben gespielt und alte Hasen waren anwesend. Zum Schluss sind viele Tränen geflossen. Was bleibt sind tolle und schöne Erinnerungen und ein mal mehr der Beweis, dass nix für die Ewigkeit ist. Danke an alle die zu mein Set da waren und das ich dann noch spontan später das Closing-Closing Set  spielen durfte. Dieses wird allerdings nicht veröffentlicht und bleibt den Gästen die da waren vorbehalten. Ich werde es nie vergessen. Und euch... die vor mir sind, auch nicht. =)

Basic Groove zu Besuch, und ja, es groovt gewaltig an der Basis, denn der Mann aus Erfurt weiß, was treibt und trifft!

In Kassel konnte man sich Anfang April im Arm von seiner Soundmacht überzeugen, ansonsten ist er von Erfurt über Leizpig und allen möglichen Teilen der Republik unterwegs. Und ein Blick auf seine Soundcloud verrät, dass er neben zahllosen Gigs auch die Loveparade und Clubnight bespielt hat. Und, bisschen Insighttalk, er kennt sich bestens mit der Clubkultur der 90er aus und auch die Hiphoptracks alter Tage sind ihm bestens vertraut, sicherlich auch ein Zeichen für ein ausgeprägtes Soundgespür.
(Ich bin ja total neidisch auf deine Lords of the Underground Scheibe ;)

Wir sind deshalb superhappy, dass er trotz aller Termine und Verpflichtungen Zeit für einen miesen Pod gefunden hat und haben ihm vorab ein paar Fragen gestellt.

MM: Was hat dich / euch musikalisch am stärksten geprägt? 
BG: Meine Anfangszeiten in der elektronischen Musik – Mitte und Ende der ´90er. Nix war unmöglich, im Gegensatz zu heute, wo alles Genre-spezifisch abgeordnet und gespielt wird. Diese Mischung aus Techno, Acid, Dub oder auch House… Geschwindigkeiten zwischen 120bpm bis zu 150bpm. Das war schon verrückt damals und hat mich auch angetrieben, mal über den Tellerrand hinauszuschauen.

MM: Was bringst du uns / ihr uns mit (soundtechnisch)? 
BG: Einen sehr funktionalen Mix, der teils melodisch, teils groovig ist. Ich denke doch ein guter und zeitloser Podcast zum immer wieder hören für Miese Leute ;) Aber keine Worte verlieren, sondern einfach mal auf Play drücken. ;)

MM: Was planst du gerade in Sachen Releases, Events, Kooperationen etc.? 
BG: Ich arbeite seit kurzen mit den Jungs von Kamarad Meyer Musik zusammen. Das Label ist ein reines MP3 Label und ist offen für nahezu jede Art der Elektronischen Musik, sei es Techno, Dub-Techno, House, Minimal, Electronic oder Ambient. Jedes Release ist eine Wundertüte und man weiß nie was kommt. Dort stehen ein paar Sachen an, aber nix mit Zeitdruck. Für mich steht der Spaß im Vordergrund und nicht das Business schnellstmöglich irgendwas zu erreichen.

MM: Bitte den Satz beenden: In 10 Jahren werde ich ... 
BG: …mit hoffentlich den gleichen Elan - wie heute - das machen, was mir Spaß und Freude macht im musikalischen Bereich. Und ich bin sehr gespannt, wo die Elektronische Musik in 10 Jahren ist.

Ich hoffe es gelingt mir mit diesen Set die eine oder andere Erinnerung zurück zubringen. Ich muss sagen das 2-3 kleine Patzer dabei sind, das liegt aber auch daran dass ich das Set sehr spontan zusammengestellt hab und ich die Tracks schon locker 10 Jahre nicht mehr gespielt hab. =)

Meine Auftritte in Radio Shows konnte ich in über 20 Jahren an einer Hand abzählen. Dann kam die wirklich tolle Johanna mit ihrer Technotopia Sendung um die Ecke und nun brauch ich zwei Hände. 🖐☝️😀 Ich war zu gast im Campusradio Jena. 💁‍♀️🎤🙆‍♂️ In der ersten Stunde hört ihr ein Set welches eher in Richtung Warm Up geht. 🤸‍♂️ In der zweiten Stunde quasseln wir ein bisschen über mich und ich stelle zwischendurch 5 Tracks im Zeitraum der letzten 20 Jahre vor die mir einfach nur gefallen. 🧘‍♂️ Und in der dritten Stunde gibt es ein Set welches ihr auch im Club von mir hört. 🤺 Ich hoffe euch gefällt die Sendung und ihr hört mal rein und lasst es mich wissen.

hello out there. the great residents of the MUNA have invited me to play music. since the beginning of the pandemic and the suspension of the club and cultural business, MUNA has been publishing regular streams to show you that they are there for you. 

at this point, a big compliment to the guys and girls behind the scenes, who give this project their free time, who put so much effort into all of their streams, be it constant location changes to image and audio. and all in over 100 streams so far. before that, i take off my hat to have such a long breath and such a wide genre of electronic music from house to techno to drum 'n' bass to funk sessions.

i post the link to youtube bellow. and please share the streams of the other djs and acts. the boys and girls from MUNA are really happy when their work is publicized. you can't really give much to the clubs during this time, except maybe the attention the club pays you. by the way, you can also make a donation via paypal on the MUNA website.

hola, after i made a call in 2019 on my facebook page, maybe in 2020 to realize my uplifting trance fetish at one or the other event. here comes my second set, because unfortunately in 2020 something came up. i think you heard about it?!

everyone who has known me since the beginning knows what a trance nerd i am. maybe one of the reasons why is, i still come from a time when it wasn't that atypical that techno and trance ran on the same floor. unfortunately the genre trance got a bad reputation at the beginning of the 2000 years because a lot of producers in the commercial sector in dance music business have stolen the name of the genre trance for their really bad dance music tracks. every horrible song got the stamp of trance and increased sales. do not get me wrong. i love many types of electronic music. but depriving a music genre name is not exactly beneficial and leads to confusion. wait, its just a bit like nowadays, where almost everything is techno. 

well i like trance since around 1994. i like the melodies, the build-up of a track, when you get goose bumps the moment is perfect.

my offer still stands for the future, maybe at some events where open minded people and organizers are behind it, the concept fits and where i feel comfortable playing such a set.
