With Applause V.A. Vol. 2, the Paris-based label continues its exploration of electronic music at the intersection of local and diasporic scenes. Curated by Matteo, this second compilation brings together both emerging and established artists from Europe, Africa, and the diasporas, with a focus on hybrid sounds and boundaryless rhythms.

Equally suited for club play and deep listening, the selection spans a wide range of aesthetics—from bass music to percussive techno, baile funk to Afro-Caribbean grooves. Returning contributors like Artem, DJ Travella, Blck Mamba, Lorkestra, and Hey Bony further anchor the label’s evolving identity, as they become increasingly connected to its booking agency and roster.

“As with the first volume, my aim was to capture a living and moving ecosystem,” Matteo explains. True to Applause’s ethos, the compilation acts as a bridge between diverse club cultures, highlighting bold and personal approaches to contemporary dance music.
