Highly lauded producer 16B unleashes ‘The New Wave’, the first single taken from his forthcoming album. Powered by a tenacious chugging groove where Indie dance sensibilities meet dramatic filtered synthscapes with echoes of French Touch, ‘The New Wave’ features a magnetic vocal from Morel, who atmospherically weaves between the seductive and fierce with his rugged, captivating tones.

“I worked with Richard Morel on 'Escape (Driving To Heaven)' on my 'How To Live 100 years' album 20 years ago and always wanted to get him on another track of mine. So I reached out to him with the instrumental of ‘The New Wave’ and I was blown away by what he came back with – the perfect vibe!” – 16B

DJ, producer, songwriter, musician and label boss Omid Nourizadeh, also known as Omid 16B, has forged a unique and prolific career as one of the world’s most talented and respected producers with over 20 years contributing to the scene. Growing up in London, with Persian roots, he’s highly regarded as a pioneer of the tech house movement back in the early nineties, alongside Carl Craig, Craig Richards, Mr C, Steve Bug and Francois K. Omid has released on labels such as Eye Q, Hooj Choons, Stomp/EQ, Yoshitoshi, Ministry Of Sound, Deconstruction, Tsuba and Bedrock, as well as his own labels aLOLa and SexOnWax Recordings. Hi impressive portfolio of music boasts 5 albums, including his hugely acclaimed debut 'Sounds From Another Room’ (1998), 'How To Live 100 Years' (2002), the two-part ‘Like 3 Ears & 1 Eye' (2007), ‘Silenciety’ (2019), and ’SunTzu’ (2020). His collaboration and remixes credits include artists Lana Del Rey, Morel, The Cure, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler , Groove Armada, Depeche Mode, Prince, Deep Dish, and more. Having played at some of the best global festivals including Snowbombing, MTVFestival, SW4, DJmag’s 20th Anniversary show at Space Ibiza, Bestival and the Space Closing party, Omid continues to follow his individual creative path, taking his unique sounds from his London studio to the global stage. With Tuskagee Music – a vinyl-only collaboration with the Martinez Brothers – well under way, and forthcoming releases on his new disco and indie-focussed imprint Soft Touch in the pipeline, it’s music to our ears that we’re getting even more material on Play It, Say It, Seth’s floor-centric outpost that launched back in April.

Daniel Dubb and m.O.N.R.O.E. break into the summer season with Get Physical Presents Miami 2017. Mixing and compiling this 11 track exclusive compilation, the boys create a stellar selection of house music and showcase the entire affair in a 60 minute Dj mix. The track list is as diverse as it is brilliant, ranging from the driving percussive rumble and airy atmosphere of the first track, John Aquaviva and m.O.N.R.O.E.’s own work ‘Alligator Skin’; then shifting gears for the bouncy synth’s in Casah’s ‘About Yourself’. Daniel Dubb includes a few of his own works in the compilation. The Canadian producer’s smooth blend of melody and rhythm shine here, thick atmosphere and gentle melodies give his tracks a warm and natural feel. Daniel and m.O.N.R.O.E. also team up for electrifying edit of ‘NSEW’ from Sound Process and Andrew McDonnell, highlighting a classic house vibe with clean percussion and a satisfying chord rhythm, finishing the compilation on a super solid note.
