SPRING BERTH

Lefto is a purest when it comes to digging and seeking for music, be it new or old. Over the years he has built a following based upon his tasteful, abstract selections which join the dots between Funk, Jazz, New Beat, House, Hip Hop and beyond.

His new album is titled ‘Motherless Father’ and is his most accomplished piece of work to date – cementing his presence as a versatile, well rounded artist who can craft a narrative through sound.

Over the years Lefto has collaborated with the likes of Virgil Abloh, Flying Lotus, Floating Points and Theo Parrish amongst others.

The record was released on Gilles Peterson’s Bronswood Recordings and this mix comes off the back of similar influences and perspectives which informed the record.

Sourires is making a name for himself in the scene thanks to his latest works characterised by a fresh sound, his tracks are rich in sampled and melodic parts and have a well-defined sound. In the last year he has released three tracks on major labels, including international space station, tropical disco , saint wax and samosa records, where he has collected a dozen tracks that have been well appreciated and supported in Europe and beyond. He approached the world of DJing at the age of 19, but music has always been his passion, hip hop, jazz, funk, and as he grew up he continued to cultivate and study these styles until they became an important part of his productions.

TRUST marks the second chapter in my ongoing EP series – a journey through sound, growth, and creative confidence. Where the first release laid down the roots, TRUST begins to stretch further – bolder, more focused, and more open.

This EP is about something you don’t always see, but feel: trust in your own sound, in intuition, and in the quiet evolution that happens when you follow it. The title track captures that energy – stripped down, raw, and direct.

As a special addition, TRUST features a powerful remix by my longtime friend and collaborator Uniq Habits, who brings a whole new dimension to the track. There’s also a Bare Bones Mix by me – reduced to the essence, almost like a sketch – an attempt to reveal the track’s core in its most honest form.

This release continues to reflect my personal and artistic growth – unfiltered, evolving, and deeply connected.
