Knopha is a Xiamen-based deejay and producer. We have been long enamoured by his restorative and uplifting productions, as showcased on the Nothing Nil, Gym, and Millennium Affair EPs. He is also behind BAIHUI 百会, an online radio station that connects diverse music communities through China and beyond. Tonight, he blesses us with an hour of music for midnight.

We are delighted to welcome our first international guest to the podcast series. Hailing from Baku, currently based in Rotterdam, Ayaz caught our ears by spicing up the moody industrial soundscapes with a pinch of exotic Eastern charm, thus combining the best of both worlds in his production. 

Back in 2018, Ayaz launched Yalançı — an exquisite vinyl-only label with a leftfield ethos and a strong affinity to spoken word and mystical atmospheres. Apart from this, he has been putting out music on favourite labels such as Kump and Knekelhuis while also providing quality remixes for Exhausted Modern and Anatolian Weapons which you might have heard in our sets.

Ayaz’s podcast is a doorway to his vast sonic space and a rare chance to hear some unreleased material as we anticipate his upcoming release on one of Glasgow’s finest imprints — Phase Group.

Just sneaking in at the end of the month, the Gated pod is back and this time we're excited to have with us Lex G for a guest mix.

Lex is multi-genre DJ from London and runs the independent label/platform Gunfinger Food, aimed at advocating underground vinyl culture.

This mix is filled mainly with electro, techno and breaks. Something to get you moving.
