Part 2 of my Sunday Daddy Disco set from BUNKER In Washington DC (Aug. 6th, 2k23)... this was honestly a very difficult set for me to play. It followed a celebration of life for a person who was a member of the BUNKER family; he was a new friend in my life... and someone whose wedding I had played just one year earlier. The doors opened to the public at 9 p.m. when many of his closest friends and loved ones were still gathered. It was very difficult for me to find a balance between getting the party going and thinking about trying to honor his memory. I ended the set on a special somewhat somber note, in tribute to him. I'd like to send special love and appreciation through this set to all of my incredible DC family.

Daddy Disco Sundays, BUNKER DC | Aug. 6th, 2k23 (Part 2)

In early summer 2020, the world was shut down and our bodies were isolated from dancing joyfully alongside each other… Pink Pony Clubs in West Hollywood were a mere fantasy that a then-unknown queer pop artist named Chappell Roan longed for in song lyrics from her musical debut on the world stage. Fast forward three years and the world has reopened; “Pink Pony Club” became Vulture’s “Song of the Summer 2021,” a real Pink Pony Club debuted in the queer village at Burning Man in 2022, and Chappell Roan is now readying for the release of her first full-length studio album (and upcoming tour) in September 2023. In homage to one of the greatest new artists on the verge of superstardom, we present our dance floor take on this iconic queer AF anthem. We first remixed "Pink Pony Club" exactly a year ago and we knew back then that this amazing queer artist was gonna be the biggest thing on the planet. Our "Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl" remix followed a couple of months later as an official commission from Island/Universal, and now, it's been the summer of Ch@ppell! (and Charli & Sabrina too, of course!) 

This remix is by far the most tech-house track we've done together. We're delighted with how the techno bassline drives this one and then we accompanied it with a killer arpeggiated synth. Add the signature guitar strum and we think we've come up with something really special.

The music is from ManyFew's "Love You (One More Chance)" (Spinnin' Records) [which samples "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5] and I've added several new musical elements to their instrumental. I had such a wonderful night playing at The Cuff Complex in Seattle earlier this month! Even though it was a rainy Seattle night, the crowd was amazing, the staff was incredible, and the energy was off the hook! The Cuff Complex, Seattle - May 17th, 2k25 (Part 2)

It's been a whirlwind past few weeks and I'm finally getting around to posting some of my sets! Things kicked off for me back on June 29th at The Cuff for Seattle Pride. I played the closing set on Sunday night and the crowd could not have been more amazing! Thank you so much to the amazing Cuff staff (especially Alfonso Tan, who organized all of this year's incredible talent!), as well as all of the other incredible DJs on this year's lineup. It's always the biggest honor to play in my home town, especially on Pride weekend.

The Cuff Complex, Seattle Pride 2k25 | (Part 1)

Get ready for Part 2 of my set from The Cuff on June 29th at Seattle Pride. This is the back half of my closing set on Sunday night with the most wonderful crowd a DJ could ask for. I pulled out my remix of "Brave" by Sara Bareilles, which I haven't played in 8 years. And I took a bit of a risk by ending the night with the full 1998 Extended Pride Remix by Junior Vasquez of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" - this remix has meant so much to me over the years, but I've never played it live. With Cyndi's farewell tour happening this summer, it felt like the right moment. 

The remix starts out high energy before slowing down tempo and dropping into the original song, before building back up again to its crazed crescendo... it gives folks that romantic moment at the end of the night to slow dance and reflect on what Pride might mean to them. It's a moment that always resonated powerfully with me when I heard this track on many NYC Pride weekends and I wanted to share this moment - a part of Junior's legacy (the set also features his "Rocketman" Arena anthem) - with a new generation.  And then, of course, the set ends with the ending track of all ending tracks... as the last dance of the night.

The Cuff Complex, Seattle Pride 2k25 | (Part 2)

It's been a hot boy summer and there was certainly no exception last month at BUNKER in DC for its BURNING UP Disco Party! I always love playing for my friends at BUNKER and I had so much fun putting this set together - I think there are at least 5 different tracks in here sampling "Love Sensation"! (so see if you can find 'em all!.... plus, there's "Burning Up" tracks from Cevin Fisher, Kylie Minogue... if that burning sensation is involved, you're gonna hear it here!)... this set is a 5-1/2 journey, with things moving from warm-up into high-energy party mode at around the 75-min mark. The "hot stuff" from Part 2 will be coming next week!

Burning Up | BUNKER DC - July 12, 2k25 (Part 1)

Part 2 of my 5-1/2 set at BUNKER in DC on July 12th, 2025, is ready for your listening pleasure! 

This set seriously went off - mama was laying all sorts of acapellas and sick tracks all over each other all night long.. the second half kicks off with Stephen and I's remix of “Get Your Flowers” for Sapphira Cristal…later on, the last 75-minutes of the night goes completely off the hook! I could not have asked for a better crowd this night, so thank you again to the BUNKER team. I hope you enjoy this high-energy ride!

Burning Up | BUNKER DC - July 12, 2k25 (Part 2)

I had such a great night in my former home town Portland recently playing this late summer set at The Get Down for BRÜT. Feeling post-Burning Man inspired, I delivered a set that's truly emblematic of where my sound is heading these days. (more similar to what you heard in my PTown/Gifford House set back in July)

Learning the art of opening takes years and the first hour of this set is a true warm-up to welcome the crowd and slowly start filling the dance floor. DJ's should never start the night at an 11 and I have great honor & respect for the slow build and the long journey; music that weaves and tells a story over the course of the night. You'll hear a transition about an hour in when the crowd starts to usher in and the night really begins. From there on out, it's 90-minutes of tech house heaven. 

I've been going a bit acapella crazy recently and this night was no exception. I had a lot of fun playing several tracks for the first time including Adam Ten's "Just Kidding" (layering Shawnee Taylor's "Live Your Life" vocals over), N2N's new track "Naked," Vinter's "Space Pump," BLOND:ISH's new "Don't Cha" remix from The Pussycat Dolls, and my friend Simon Harrison's new original "Find Me On The Dance Floor" (also with a special acapella layered over!)

I'm not sure what was in the air last Friday, but this set went off from the beginning! The Seattle crowd musta been very ready to get away from their families and onto the dance floor, because the energy zipped from 0 to 100 within the first 30 minutes. All kidding aside, this may be the best set I've played all year... I was in a great mood and I was really having a lot of fun in the booth this night. LA-based DJ Blacklow (Jeremy Blacklow) grew up on the dance floors of New York City inspired by the house music of the '90s, inspired by the sounds of Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Frankie Knuckles, and Peter Rauhofer. In 2011, Blacklow finally listened to friends' advice and took his love of music to the next level, playing bars, clubs & events throughout Southern California, before becoming a successful DJ and producer who now tours the world.

Two complete remix packages followed in January and February 2021. They followed it up in the fall of 2021 with a cover from Callahan of Pat Benatar’s “Shadows of the Night,” with remixes that served as true gay anthems across the globe during the fall of ‘21 and winter of ‘22. 

In the summer of 2022, Blacklow and Jusko collaborated on a cover of “Believe It Or Not” (the theme song from “The Greatest American Hero”) with vocalist Brian Kent, which was released on Swishcraft Music. And in June 2023, the dynamic duo released their first Original track together on Swishcraft, an LGBTQ anthem titled “Love Lift Me Up,” featuring vocals from the incomparable Debby Holiday.  

Recent 2024 remixes include his viral mashup of Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Zhana’s update of “Looking For A New Love,” Kent’s “Carry Your Light,” and “Gym Crush” from Broadway stars Nick Burroughs and Alex Newell. A soon-to-be-released new remix with Sapphira Crystal from "RuPaul’s Drag Race" is on its way in early 2025.

Other Blacklow high-energy remixes include “To Be Able To Love” (with George Figares feat. Brenda Reed, Swishcraft), Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Cut To The Feeling,” and “Party For One” (with Hector Fonseca), “Beautiful Trauma” (P!nk), “Brave” (Sara Bareilles),  Bo$$ (Fifth Harmony), two explosive remixes of Ellie Goulding’s “Flux,” and the tracks “Fierce,” “Faces” and “Better Days” from NYC-based singer Mila Jam.
