I first got to know Mr. Sparkles a while back at a pregame before THE "it" disco party. His smile was so magnetic it made me nervous, and fortunately his sense of humor didn’t mind that my nervous self was completely incapable of using a seltzer siphon without getting fizzy water everywhere. But I knew he was a special one when he told me about how much he loved to move...

And after being dazzled all night by his acclaimed dancing in action, I we left the club for an evening—by then, late morning—of intimacy so spectacular that it's a felony we didn't film it. Leaving Mr. Sparkles' place the next morning, I felt a sense of joy so powerful, I abandoned my day's plans and made it into a very special DJ set. Enjoy ☺️

Please enjoy Part 3 - the final 80-minutes - of my 5-hour daytime set at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown this year over 4th of July week. As I alluded to earlier in my Part 2 notes, this final section is a wild ride! I basically was just like, "f-ck it" and threw whatever I was feeling in the moment against the wall. (especially the last 25-minutes!!)... of course, this usually makes for the best moments. 

There are quite a few classics in here - "Charlie Brown" (Dave Audé's Coldplay remix), "Heartbreaker/If You Should Ever Be Lonely" (Junior's full 10+ minute anthem!), my own remixes of "Pink Pony Club" (Chappell Roan) and "Love Lift Me Up" (Debby Holiday), and (if you know me) my trademark homage to Hex Hector with his (full-length!) remix of Faith Hill's "Breathe." 

You'll either love these 80-minutes of music... or wonder "WTF was he thinking?!" ... either way, it's pure me.

LA-based DJ Blacklow (Jeremy Blacklow) grew up on the dance floors of New York City inspired by the house music of the '90s, inspired by the sounds of Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Frankie Knuckles, and Peter Rauhofer. In 2011, Blacklow finally listened to friends' advice and took his love of music to the next level, playing bars, clubs & events throughout Southern California, before becoming a successful DJ and producer who now tours the world.

Blacklow's sound is a mix of classic house, tech house, progressive house, future house, and disco. His trademark sound is filled with uplifting high energy and soaring vocals. He seamlessly blends the old school and the new to create an incredible momentum-building dance floor journey on every outing. A standard Blacklow set includes a heavy dose of throwbacks and classics, mixed with the latest tracks drawn from a wide array of inspirations.

Blacklow’s production work includes several singles and remixes with his Texas-based production partner of the past five years, Stephen Jusko. Their first collaboration, a remix of Katy Perry’s “Never Really Over,” caught the ear of Perry’s manager, who gave them the official studio stems for her next single, “Small Talk,” which quickly became their most downloaded and listened to single ever. Their Chappell Roan remixes - which include their viral remix of “Pink Pony Club,” an Island/Universal commissioned remix of “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl,” and a tech-house driven take on “Hot To Go,” are currently powering dance floors around the world. Together, Blacklow and Jusko have also remixed singles by Lady Gaga (“Rain On Me”), Kesha (“Raising Hell,” “Stronger”), P!nk (“Never Gonna Not Dance Again,” “Just Like A Pill”), Alanis Morrisette (“You Oughta Know”), Zai (“Clouds”), Debby Holiday (“Love & Beats”) and more. 

In December 2020, Blacklow and Jusko put out their first single together, a cover of the ‘80s Scandal anthem, “The Warrior” with vocals by Audrey Callahan on Queen House Music, which quickly soared to the top of Beatport’s Top 100 Big Room charts. Two complete remix packages followed in January and February 2021. They followed it up in the fall of 2021 with a cover from Callahan of Pat Benatar’s “Shadows of the Night,” with remixes that served as true gay anthems across the globe during the fall of ‘21 and winter of ‘22. 

In the summer of 2022, Blacklow and Jusko collaborated on a cover of “Believe It Or Not” (the theme song from “The Greatest American Hero”) with vocalist Brian Kent, which was released on Swishcraft Music. And in June 2023, the dynamic duo released their first Original track together on Swishcraft, an LGBTQ anthem titled “Love Lift Me Up,” featuring vocals from the incomparable Debby Holiday.  

Recent 2024 remixes include his viral mashup of Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Zhana’s update of “Looking For A New Love,” Kent’s “Carry Your Light,” and “Gym Crush” from Broadway stars Nick Burroughs and Alex Newell. A soon-to-be-released new remix with Sapphira Crystal from "RuPaul’s Drag Race" is on its way in early 2025.

Other Blacklow high-energy remixes include “To Be Able To Love” (with George Figares feat. Brenda Reed, Swishcraft), Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Cut To The Feeling,” and “Party For One” (with Hector Fonseca), “Beautiful Trauma” (P!nk), “Brave” (Sara Bareilles),  Bo$$ (Fifth Harmony), two explosive remixes of Ellie Goulding’s “Flux,” and the tracks “Fierce,” “Faces” and “Better Days” from NYC-based singer Mila Jam.
 
With so much momentum behind him, Blacklow has several exciting gigs and productions in store for 2025 and beyond. Hard at work on several new projects, Blacklow remains one of the most exciting DJ/producers on the scene today.
