Axe On Wax's Axe Traxx drops its second hand-stamped vinyl only release, a split EP featuring originals from Trudge and Die Roh.
After the well received first release, Axe Traxx returns with another collection of rough, raw, filtered house killer tracks. The first EP from Sonderr and remixed by Mall Grab (both Australian) was supported by many in the scene and this split EP showcases two different approaches to analogue productions. The raw in your face filtered House of Parisian talent Trudge and the always splendidly crafted grooves of Sagat and DJ octopus, aka Die Roh. Trudge's 'Give' sounds like a mix between Mall Grab and Ross From Friends, between Churches and Lobster Theremin: a distorted and in part broken 909 beat guides the cut, whilst a slow melodic loved up vocal creates the perfect summery vibe.  The limited 180g vinyl Axe Traxx 2 is out in late July !

PREMIERE : DJ Windows XP - Well Sometimes

Long time channel pals, "Who’s Susan" have kindly chucked a lovely DJ Windows XP jam our way from their brand new bi-polar-esque titled EP, "Sometimes I Feel Happy, Sometimes Sad" - I guess operating systems do have feelings after all. After making serious waves off the back of their last release on DJ Haus' imprint, E-Beamz; the Amsterdam duo's second offering demonstrates another, perhaps more considered facet to their production ability - yet retaining their trademarked raw stonk.

Lots of questions are still left to be answered, though. Who really is Susan? Maybe ‘it’ could have been me? At the end of it all though, who cares. Let your synapses turn around the infinite situations, with infinitesimal different angles round and round your brain- what’s gone is gone. Dust to dust.  Stare into the abyss, sink into your cocoon, let the bass drum thud in the back of your throat, the background synths wrap over you, crescendoing into the most alleviating rush. Pretty blissful stuff and certainly not just another jovial 'DJ' pseudonym.

Second release at Nerang Recordings is jam packed with floor moving goodies. Subjoi starts us off on a journey with his track Signal Point, bring your moon boots. Interplanetary Criminal backs that up with Softly, his own unique spice rack of a track. On the B-side here premiered, we have Slim Hustla with their track 2100. No intros needed, Slim has been destroying the northern part of our globe so it was time to bring em' down under. Jesse Bru closes the show with his emotion packed track Mustard King, warm and tasty, Al Dente.
