Well it is now year 3 for me playing Fozzy Fest , year 2 for Vocal Euphoric Bass, and I gotta say that I'm loving this Genre of music! These sets are so moving and beautiful to play . I'm so grateful for the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone these last 2 years . Just wanted to say that the sax and other brass isn't sampled. I used Jam Origin (Midi guitar plugin) to control a Kontakt saxophone patch.

A few people have messaged me asking where I get my samples, I just wanted to say here that I don't sample.
I either play the instrument myself or try and use the best emulator I can. I never sample other music to make my own.

I have occasionally built complex sampler instruments in ableton from a single instrument note but they always lack full expression and control.
Using my guitar as a midi instrument gives me a better feel for velocity as I'm not great on the keys, and a faster way to use vibrato: bending the string instead of reaching for a mod wheel.

The only time I use samples of any kind is from vocal sample packs (if it's not my voice), which I process, repitch, resample etc. until they're as unrecognisable as possible.

If anyone's interested I could maybe make a video about some techniques I use and the sound design process. For instance; making a normal acoustic guitar sound something resembling a sitar.
