Inspired when I first visited my Best Friend Chicago house legend Gene Hunt. His basement / studio is like a museum filled with Chicago house music flyers, records and reel to reel tapes. The old Chicago posters for house music events are reminiscent of old boxing posters. Starting in 2016, I had Turntable Champions and childhood heroes Shortkut and Vinroc headline my birthday at an underground in San Francisco. They always loved house music but never get to play much of it. They were so into it that they literally tore the house down. The following year Gene Hunt and I came together to challenge the Champs and came out victorious. In this rematch that took place at Monarch in San Francisco on July 31, 2021, we were in the middle of a pandemic excited to let it all out. We all smashed it like it was our last gig. This is my set from that night. Enjoy!

I had just returned from an impromptu trip to NYC and had a dream i was back at this Studio 54 themed disco underground in Brooklyn with Giorgio Moroder. Drifting in and out of sleep with Narcos playing in the background, I heard the theme song over a house beat. I woke up the next morning to finish it in time for our set at Soulcamp.
