This is my late set from a stunning and amazing house party in the Sierra Foothills in June that was celebrating coming out of the darkness. Thirty loving people descended on a town of 150 and were welcomed. Our friends cleared out their home, we brought in amazing sound system with two other incredibly talented DJs, amazing lights, and even a fog machine. Words can not express how amazing it truly was and how much gratitude I have for being apart of it.

I had the privilege of DJing the 25th Lazy Bear Pool Party at the West Sonoma Inn on Saturday. It was an amazing sunny day full of hot sexy bears.

This is a live recording of my 6 hour set. 

Sadly I did not push record into a ways into my set. Also, there are few places that I had to edit out where the security guard was asking some person or another to move their vehicle. I *think* I got them all. If not please mark the track with a comment.

We returned for a second year to a small town in Northern California for the most amazing house party with a club sound system, lasers, and amazing art. It was a celebration of hope and joy with 41 of the most amazing and beautiful people.

This year, we also celebrated the wedding of our two hosts - two of the most beautiful soles.

It was a 9 hour party. This is a live recording of my closing set. I hope you enjoy it.

This is a live recording of the first half of my set I played at the Lazy Bear West Sonoma Inn on Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny and amazing day.

Sadly the sun was bright and was hard to see my levels so there was some clipping. I tried to clean it up but it is what it was. And yes, there are a couple tracks that I played twice, this was a 6 hour set and didn't really get going until later and these track are awesome.

I had the pleasure of DJing at Lazy Bear again this year. It is hard to describe how amazing this event is - nothing really like it anywhere in the world.

I spun the Saturday pool party at West Sonoma Inn from 11am to 5pm. This is a recording of my live set. Unfortunately the power went out for a couple of minutes a couple hours into my set, so the first half of the recording was messed up. Sadly there were also a couple of very minor glitches with the CDJs, but that is what playing out in 94 degree weather can do.

I started out as an ambient DJ playing many of the chill rooms at the early underground parties in San Francisco in the 90s. Back then, I had two turn tables, a CD player (not CDJ), an old AM radio running through an effects processor that I would detune, and a VCR. It is one of the reasons that when I eventually started beat mixing and playing dance music that my style is all about blending and creating new sounds through layers.

Here is a new nothing programmed, live mix for your listening enjoyment with just two Technic 1200MK2 turntables (yes, they are as old as my vinyl), two Pioneer 900nxs CDJs, and a modern day Pioneer DJM 750K. Most of the time I have 3 channels going. It spans music from today to the 90s and even some old Tangerine Dream that I have on vinyl, and yes, I have an entire LP of whale songs just to drive home the 90s chill. There are no samples.

The pops and hisses you hear are from my vinyl - some of it is pretty old.

An ambient excursion in a waking dream. Just close your eyes and let the music flow through you.

Producer and DJ, Bryan Hughes has been DJing for over 30 years. In 1992, with his partner DJ Jim Hopkins (Twitch Records, San Francisco) he was one of the visionaries behind the local independent labels ZoeMagik Records and sister label City of Tribes Records, bringing San Francisco to the forefront of the underground dance community.

Bryan got his big break playing New Years Eve 1993 at Product (1015 Folsom, SF). Bryan has been a regular at some of San Francisco’s most notable underground parties such as Product(SF), Sanctuary (Sound Factory, SF), Metropolis (Barneveld, SF), Palladium (Sound Factory, SF), Bump (Cat Club, SF), Score (SF), X-Men (715 Harrison, SF), Powerhouse (SF), and Sweet (Cellspace, SF). Most notably, Bryan opened for Paul Oakenfold and Mark Lewis at the Illuminaughty Camp, Burning Man 2000.

Currently, you can find him spinning at Lazy Bear (https://www.lazybearweekend.org/) as well as other various underground warehouse parties. He also played the Leather and Lace party for New Zealand Winter Pride 2018.
