Anyone who was following our movements last year will have noticed we announced a project with the motivation to help address the gender imbalance in drum and bass: Balance. In collaboration with House of Hi-Fi, we invited female producers of all levels to submit original productions to us with a view to the best submissions being worked on and released as part of an EP. We're stoked to say the first volume of Balance is here!

It has been a long journey to get to this point, and a big learning curve for the label team, but we couldn't be happier to be presenting three very talented womxn - @asha-binx, @djcaitc and @insight_sounds. From naughty wubs to dancefloor melodies to dreamy liquid, we've got three awesome producers bringing three unique vibes. This will be a debut release for both Asha Binx and Insight, but CaitC is a name some of you may already be familiar with - especially if you were at Rampage earlier this year.

In the grand scheme of gender inequality, Balance may only be a small gesture, but House of Hi-Fi and Onyx Recordings hope it provides the females who take part with a platform to grow, develop and showcase their ability to a wider audience. That's why we will be opening the submission window for Balance Vol. 2 very soon. Keep an eye out for the announcement! But until then, get acquainted with the sounds of Asha Binx, CaitC and Insight, because they'll be lighting up the D&B scene in the near future.

Just 1 year after her debut release, CaitC returns to LUX for another stellar release, overflowing with energy and featuring two incredible vocalists. This time she links up with New Zealand based Christina Harrison and familiar face, and voice, Marge.

The first track is called Losing Control and is a collaboration with global impact. As CaitC is making huge moves in the Netherlands and beyond, Christina Harrison has been working with some of New Zealand's brightest stars, already landing uploads on UKF and the Dub Rebellion. Matched together, they deliver fireworks, creating a musical piece that builds tension from the get go, empowered by Christina's lyrics and fierce delivery. As the drop hits, energy overflows and you're ready to fully let go.

Secondly, CaitC and Marge link up again to deliver a fresh new anthem in the guise of Here and Now. Building on the theme set in Losing Control, Marge invites you to let go of your troubles and enjoy the moment. Her powerful delivery is accompanied by the lively instrumental of CaitC, turning the energy up to 11, all culminating in this impeccable club track ready to smash the dancefloor.

All in all, CaitC delivers two banging tracks, perfect for a DJ set, workout session or just when you want to party for no reason. Full release set for 13th of October on LUX Music.

A highly anticipated tradition at Viper, the Annual Compilation is a celebration of the past year, featuring 26 tracks from a mix of familiar faces sprinkled with some of the scene’s hottest up-and-comers. Hand picked by label head honcho Futurebound himself, this year’s Annual 2023 features some of the year’s biggest hits from Jack Mirror, Blaine Stranger, V O E, Solomon France, Dossa & Locuzzed, Madface, BMotion, and more, sitting alongside records from Exile, DEAD WAX, CaitC, Houndeye, Deep Notion, and other ones to watch. Covering the full spectrum of Drum & Bass, Annual 2023 is the perfect celebration of another incredible year for Viper Recordings. 

Before unleashing the full album, the Annual 2023 Sampler offers a perfect taste of what’s in store, featuring three brand new exclusives from some of the scene’s best and brightest. 

First up, Madface teams up with Lottie Woodward, both familiar names to the label, with the explosive dancefloor track “High Above”. One of Viper’s latest signings, Madface has certainly been making waves the past year, so Annual 2023 wouldn’t have been complete without at least one new track from the Czech producer. Teaming up with the ethereal songstress Lottie Woodward, this powerful ballad features infectious vocals alongside vibrant danecfloor drops for the ultimate feel-good party anthem. 

Next up to bat is a new name to Viper with Deep Notion’s “Don’t Worry Bout Them”. An alluring cinematic intro paints an enchanting picture before introducing more tech-y influences leading up to a mind blowing drop. The juxtaposition of such a gentle opening against such a bass forward drop encapsulates the Viper sound perfectly, and we’ll be sure to keep an eye on Deep Notion. 

Last but certainly not least, CaitC joins the label with her debut single “Feel” featuring Christina Harrison on vocals. One of the hottest DJs to emerge in recent years, CaitC’s production is certainly on par with her stage presence, and combined with the mesmerizing vocals of Christina Harrison, “Feel” is a track you won’t soon forget. The ultimate liquid dancefloor record, hearing such immense productions from the new generation of producers is not only a testament to the influence Viper has held over the scene over the past 15+ years, but also to the strength and innovation of the scene as a whole. 

With three powerful new records to start, there’s no denying that big things are in store with Annual 2023 – the perfect end to arguably one of the label’s strongest year yet. Packed full of new and exciting talent together with legends like Futurebound himself, you will only find these sounds on the mighty Viper Recordings.

Last of the three samplers but certainly not least, the third sampler brings with it not just two but three new songs from the likes of Madface, Cait C & Christina Harrison, and Feed The Fire & OHKAY to close off the Annual 2024 teasers.

One of Viper’s newest and most promising signings, Madface delivers his classic dancefloor sound by way of “Falling”. Ethereal and straight to the point, engaging vocals add to the infectious energy of the tune before dropping into one of his funkiest drops yet. Singalong synths pair with vibrant pads for a classic dancefloor drop that is sure to get any crowd moving and singing along.

The next look at Annual 2024 comes from Cait C and Christina Harrison who made their Viper debut together this time last year with “Feel”. Now, teaming up again one year later, the pair have outdone themselves with “By Your Side”. Christina Harrison’s velvet vocals exude power and charm, while Cait C builds up into a decimating dancefloor drop. Catchy and heavy in all the right places, “By Your Side” is a modern DnB ballad for the ages.

The final taste of Annual 2024 comes from Feed The Fire and OHKAY with “Forget Me”. Marking the German producer’s Viper debut and UK – based OHKAY’s follow-up to her track “Restart” with Sound In Noise & Aktive, “Forget Me” is a sultry dancefloor banger full of enticing vocals and energetic basslines for the new generation of ravers.

Wrapping up the series of Samplers before the full album drops, all the artists invovled have, unsurprisingly, impressed with their offerings, and excitement couldn’t be higher for the full release of Annual 2024, dropping early next year.
