<p>Rafa Barrios is back on Agile and this time he delivers three tracks which truly demonstrate his mastery of the Groove.&nbsp; &#8220;Distraido&#8221; is led by a busy rhythm section which only comes up to breathe when spoken word passages appear.&nbsp; The mysterious vibe is reinforced by streamlined synths which are cleverly placed throughout.&nbsp;  On &#8220;Animals&#8221; we are treated to a more cavernous approach, full of suspenseful rises and tons of low-end goodness.&nbsp; Closing up with &#8220;Perfect Sunday&#8221;, things get kicked up a notch and grinding percussion steals the spotlight alongside moody, commanding stabs.</p>

It’s almost Christmas time and here, at elrow Music, we want to start the celebration with a big comeback to our releases ranks. Label boss and tech-house honcho De La Swing is back with a three tracker EP of two originals and one high rolling remix, by the one and only Mathias Kaden. ‘Everyday EP’ opens up with the title track, ‘Everyday (Original Mix)’, a track with a steady but soft percussion, a hip-hopish vocal line that sings about love, and a nice 90’s infused melody by the middle of the track, with an overall vibe that everyone associates with elrow and its parties. Then we have ‘Creeper (Original Mix)’, that opens with a swifter percussion and starts in full energy thanks to that exotic vocal line we hear in the back of the track. With FX coming and going, the synth treatment De La Swing uses is just mind-blowing and will make the crowd lose it in the middle of the dancefloor, making this carnivalesque track perfect for the busiest times in the dancefloor. Finally, closing the EP, we have Mathias Kaden’s remix of De La Swing’s ‘Everyday (Mathias Kaden’s Repitch Remix)’, in which the German producer twist the original track with a steadier and faster vibe, a bit harder, also distorting and playing with the vocal line and keeping the melodies, making it a more playful tune and fitter for peak times in the floor. Resuming, one huge delivery by the label boss De La Swing, that showcases his great moment, and an amazing re-interpretation by Kaden, who has perfectly understood what elrow Music’s line is all about. 20 Years Of Catz 'n Dogz

Ahead of the release of his second artist album, Current II, Avotre label boss Santé is teasing us with a fantastic first EP from it. 

The new album is a real artistic development that shows off plenty of new musical maturity, and these tracks hint at that. It comes after nine years of turning out real club dynamite on his own label Avotre as well as many other labels such as Rekids, Souvenir, Desolat and Cocoon.

Up first is Emotional Closer, a hard hitting and driving house track with pounding drums. It is co-produced with Joaquin DeKoen, a new young talent from Argentina, and has spoken word vocals that get you in a trance as the balmy pads bring real soul and colour. 

Sunset Boulevard is a Detroit style house jam with raw Roland drums and manic synth lines filled with texture and energy. 

It is a futuristic track that takes you on a real trip through the cosmos, and finally Twisted Love offers excellent broken drum patterns and a musical bassline that goes deep and will sweep up the shadiest of crowds. 

This is a brilliant taster of the much anticipated full length to come.

Carlos Manaça is one of the main Portuguese DJ’s and producers and has been an essential part of the country’s Underground dance scene since its very beginning. 
In 2026 celebrates 40 years since his first job as a DJ but his schedule is still busy. He plays mainly in Portugal but also plays in countries like Japan, England, Switzerland, Brazil, Luxembourg, Poland, Croatia, Germany, Mexico, Angola, Mozambique, Russia, USA, Canada and Spain, where he lived from 2002 to 2021. He has now moved back to Oporto, Portugal.

As a producer his name started to get international exposure in 1995 with his remixes of O.L.N. "Oporto Deep Cuts EP" released on TRIBAL AMERICA (and Tribal UK), one of the main worldwide Labels at the time. His “Reboot 144” (Acid Error Mix) was the A Side of that release and was supported by no other than Danny Tenaglia, among many other artists.

In 1999 founded Magna Recordings, one of the first underground dance Labels in Portugal with releases by Victor Calderone, Chus & Ceballos, Richie Santana, Mendo, D-Formation, Natalino Nunes, Stephane K & Koutarou M, Peter Bailey, among many others. In 2001 co-produced the worldwide hit “The Strong Rhythm” with his long time friends Chus & Ceballos, included on “Deep Dish – Global Underground 021: Moscow” CD compilation which gave them their first worldwide success reaching the top of the dance sales charts all over the globe. 

With releases on Labels like SCI+TEC Audio, Stereo Productions, Toolroom, Orange Recordings, Transmit, Otto Music, Kinetika Records, Beat Freak Recordings, Moody Recordings, Kult Records, District Audio and his own Magna Recordings, among many others, Carlos Manaça is more motivated that ever. He still loves delivering his typical Tech House & Techno tribal influenced grooves to the clubbers every weekend, and feels that still has a lot of music to bring to the global Dance Scene.

Being also an Audio Engineer (by SAE Institute Madrid) and head of Beat Works Mix & Mastering, in 2022 started as a Mastering teacher at ETIC Lisbon, one of the best and well known audio school’s in Portugal, as well as an invited master class Mastering teacher at Pro-DJ in Oporto.
