What is it that makes Fusion - the mother of festivals - so utterly perfect? Stages designed for dancers not DJs, sound engineered to hug you, political ideologies based on inclusivity and freedom? Or perhaps it's the antithesis of perfection - and rather the radical acceptance of the reality that this transient city of 80 000 people is unfinished, evolving and perfectly imperfect in every way. 

It was a dream come true to be invited by our dear friend @madmotormiquel to play at Bachstelzen, and to be surrounded by our friends and loved ones made the experience one we will never, ever forget.

Thank you to the dancers who lit up our Monday morning, and, of course, to the producers, without whom none of this would be possible.

So ist das, wenn man seinem Held aus der (musikalischen) Jugend dann endlich mal persönlich begegnet: Man hat gehörig die Hosen voll. Vor allem wenn der Anlass nicht eine zufällige Begegnung im Backstagebereich ist, sondern ein offiziell anberaumtes Interview im Studio des Künstlers... Es geht ja auch nicht um irgendeinen Künstler, sondern um einen, der so viel kreativen Output hat, dass ein Künstlerprojekt nicht einmal reicht. Und so ist er alleine oder als Teil von Projekten unter mehreren Namen unterwegs und viele wissen nicht einmal, dass hinter allen der gleiche kreative Kopf steckt. Zu nennen wären da Console, The Notwist, Feathered Sun und natürlich der Name, unter dem er wahrscheinlich am bekanntesten ist: http://soundcloud.com/acidpauli

Bei jedem einzelnen dieser Namen, würde ein genaueres auf das Werk eingehen einen ewig langen Rattenschwanz an beteiligten Namen und Veröffentlichungen nach sich ziehen. Alleine die Tatsache, dass Console nun bereits seit 1995 am produzieren und veröffentlichen ist, spricht für sich. 5 Studio-Alben entstanden in dieser Zeit, so wie ein Live-Album, welches im legendären Pariser Centre Pompidou aufgezeichnet wurde. Acid Pauli wiederum ist auch immerhin bereits seit zehn Jahren am Start und hat neben einem Album einfach unzählige Tracks, Remixe und Produktionen in Kooperationen herausgebracht, dass sie hier aufzuzählen gar nicht möglich ist.

Mit all diesem Wissen und der Erinnerung an unzählige Clubabende in der Münchner Roten Sonne und einigen Fusions im Publikum steht also unser Autor bei Martin Gretschmann, wie Acid Pauli mit bürgerlichem Namen heißt, an einem Donnerstag-Abend pünktlich vor dem Studio in Berlin und freut sich auf das Interview ebenso wie er es fürchtet. Nach den ersten drei Sätzen ist von dieser Nervosität nichts übrig geblieben, denn wie hier zu lesen ist, stellt Martin sich als richtig angenehmer Gesprächspartner heraus: http://www.frueher.com/interview-mit-acid-pauli/
