The Cozies Vol. 13

Encantra is a west coast bass DJ, modern burlesque dancer, and Reiki Master based out of San Diego. She designs each set with the intention of facilitating an emotional and euphoric journey. Through her expertise in music, movement, and healing, she curates her mixes by playing with the line between light and dark. 

She builds sound through waves of different powers, from conscious bass to dirty trap, inspiring introspection, personal power, and connection. Her live sets are all about the people in the crowd and the power that music can bring to each person’s life.

The day before this set I witnessed an Annular Eclipse, an alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth, and there were exactly the right amount of clouds so I could see this phenomenon with my bare eyes and crystalize this picture. I attune myself to the alignment of the universe. I trust my intuition. I hold my boundaries. I flow in synchronicity. Nothing that is truly for me can ever be lost. Flow in your dance with attunement to your own alignment. What does your body authentically need in this moment? Is it in your highest alignment to dance by yourself, or with another? Is it in the other's highest alignment to dance with you? Celebrate the sacred no as well as the sacred yes, as your true alignment and theirs are met in equal measure.
