Mit medizinischen Assistenzberufen die medizinische Praxis stärken 

Fachjournalist und EinBlick-Redakteur Christoph Nitz sprach mit Dr. Volker Schrage von der Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung Westfalen-Lippe KVWL.über die Perspektiven von medizinischen Assistenzberufen wie dem Physician Assistant PA. Die vermittelten Kompetenzen in den entsprechenden sechs- oder siebensemestrigen Bachelorstudiengängen qualifizieren den PA für ein breites Delegationsspektrum.

Den Einsatz von Physician Assistants in der ambulanten Versorgung zu fördern, ist ein gemeinsames Projekt der KVWL und der Europäischen Fachhochschule EU|FH Rheine in Kooperation mit dem zugehörigen Berufsverband, der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Physician Assistants DGPA.

Dr. Volker Schrage ist stellvertretender Vorstandsvorsitzender der KVWL. In sein Ressort fallen die Projekte zum Physician Assistant. Doktor Schrage ist Facharzt für Allgemeinmedizin und seit neunzehnhundertachtundachtzig niedergelassener Arzt mit Praxis in Legden. Neben anderem war er Ärztlicher Leiter im Gesundheitsnetz Gemeinsam Westmünsterland und Sektionsvorstand ärztliches Management in der Akademie für medizinische Fortbildung.

Bundesgesundheitsminister Lauterbach hat die Digitalisierungsstrategie für das Gesundheitswesens und die Pflege veröffentlicht, jedoch gibt es wenige konkrete Zeitangaben für die Umsetzung der Maßnahmen.

Der Bundesdatenschutzbeauftragte Ulrich Kelber hat keine grundsätzlichen Bedenken gegen die Einführung der elektronischen Patientenakten ePA, betont aber die Wichtigkeit von Datenschutz- und IT-Sicherheitsmaßnahmen.

Bis zum Jahr 2025 sollen 80 Prozent der gesetzlich Versicherten über eine elektronische Patientenakte (ePA) verfügen.
