"The reason I selected this for the series was, for myself, it being personal time piece, the quality of the tracks and the mix being consistently good. Building through some great soulful house vocals and dubs into some deep cuts that haven't dated since it's release in 2002. Having quite a few of these on vinyl picked up around the time, including Mindflight's "Release", Derrick White's "Soul 2 Let Go" and Kerri Chandler's "Atmospheric Beats" the mix by silky deep house man Miguel Migs was never far from the earlobes at the time. I first heard of Miguel Migs music through Naked Music back in my vinyl days and was pretty much hooked. I started collecting many of his singles and remixes from my local record shop (at the time) via labels like NRK, OM & Transport Records.

To me, Miguel Migs has mastered the art of "balance" with his unique lush warm soundscapes, deep & soulful rhythms, live instrumentation, electronic sounds & reggae sound system influences. His music perfectly translates into lounge bars, smokey underground clubs right through to main stage festivals. 

I hope you enjoy the journey through his music. I certainly enjoyed mixing this lengthy set on the 1s & 2s.
