80's Throwback mix

Elyssa Pon aka DJ China G is a native of California and has been a long-time resident of San Francisco. In the last 25 years DJ China G has been an international DJ and club promoter in the LGBTQ+ community.  She was the co-founder/promoter and DJ of the renowned queer/lesbian party Rebel Girl from 2000-2009 & Cockblock 2016. DJ China G has also been featured in the San Francisco Bay Guardian and SF Weekly magazines for her musical achievements.  



She loves her career as a DJ and continues to spin for the Bay Area LGBTQ+ club scene at local venues, currently one of the resident DJs at Jolene's (one of the surviving Lesbian owned bars), The EndUp, The Stud, F8, Beatbox, Calle 11, The Rickshaw Stop, Love and Propaganda, El Rio, The Midway, Temple, 111 Minna, The Cafe, Qbar, Beaux, Folsom Street Foundry, Holy Cow, Mars Bar, Starlight Room. Bruno's, White Horse, New Parish and Port Bar (2016-2018) in Oakland, CA, has also traveled to Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle to DJ.

  

China G has had the honor to spin for the 1st Women’s stage for SF Pride in the mid-2000s, SF Pride’s Dyke March; was the DJ on the DJ Truck for SF Pride's Pink Saturday mid-2000s, lead the SF Dyke March DJing on the truck for 2018, Women's Stage for SF Pride 2019 & 2022, resident DJ at the world-famous Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend (largest queer/lesbian event in the world) 2017-2019/ 2021-2022, 2023),  Mango NYE 2023 & booked for NYE 2024 (the longest running dance party for women est. 1993), The Dream Roll Moto camping retreat for Cis Womxn 2023, ADL(Anti-Defamation League) event for Dominque Crenn (Michelin Star Chef), Olivia Cruise events in Cabo San Lucas 2019, LGBTQAI events in Vancouver, BC -Rice Cake, Man-Up, Lick, Babes on Babes (largest Queer event in Vancouver, BC) Fortune Sound Club & Celebrities night club in Vancouver, BC, Eden Entertainment Group, International Ms. Leather 2019/2020, the SF LGBT Community Center’s Soiree 8th year Anniversary, A.C.T. Since the pandemic in 2020, she's been working on her passion by doing virtual live events for Jolene's Bar in SF (Uhaul SF, Push Pop, Coyote Queer), Babes on Babes Vancouver, BC, Rice Cake Vancouver, BC, International Ms. Leather/International Ms. Bootblack IMSLBB San Francisco, Capital City Pride Olympia, Washington. 



With her musical background, she started playing guitar as a teenager in a goth and new wave band, working in a couple of record stores, gaining knowledge of different genres of music, she has mastered the art of working her crowd and getting them to dance. Her DJ style is open format which consists of a wide variety of genres from top 40 remixes, hip hop, reggaeton, house, mashups, indie/rock, throwbacks, 70's 80's, 90's, Y2k to current hits.  She likes to challenge herself and the crowd by creating unconventional mixes with a large variety of musical genres. She continues to live her dream by playing music and being surrounded by other talented artists that share her dream.
