Premiere: Tantum, Hyunji-A - Keep My Letters (Simon Vuarambon Remix) [Keep Me Letters]

The tenth edition of the Early Morning label stands as both a milestone and a statement of intent. In just a single year, its founder has reshaped the underground dance music landscape with a catalog that redefined the possibilities of the genre. This latest release features two new pieces that together form a tightly woven conceptual work spanning nearly seventeen minutes.

Guy J has built his reputation on reinvention. Each release feels less like a continuation of his past and more like a step into uncharted terrain. On the opening track, Worlds Apart, he fuses an emotive core with intricate sound design and spatial experimentation, leading listeners into liminal states where consciousness and subconsciousness blur. Despite its cerebral qualities, the piece never loses its pulse, the steady momentum that keeps it firmly anchored to the dancefloor.

True to the label’s name, this is music designed for dawn, for moments of release after a long night, for embraces on crowded floors, for the intangible bonds that form through shared experience.

The second track, Surreal, pushes further into abstraction. While echoes of early trance, a genre that shaped Guy J during his formative years, are evident, the piece reframes those influences through a progressive, hypnotic, and technologically refined lens. It is this ability to blend memory with innovation that distinguishes Guy J from his peers, offering listeners not just music but a reimagined space in which sound itself becomes an act of discovery.

The 28th Chapter sees Djuma Soundsystem team up with Westerby for our latest story in sound: the cosmic afro tech of ‘Disambigua’.

Now based in Copenhagen, Norwegian artist Djuma Soundsystem was catapulted into the public's consciousness over a decade ago with his club classic 'Les Djinns' on Get Physical Music. His organic, sample-heavy signature sound is the perfect combination with fellow Copenhagen artist Westerby’s rougher, analogue synths and techy edges.

‘Disambigua’, their much-anticipated follow up to smash hit ‘Koma Kobache’ (Get Physical), is a standout cut which is already turning heads on dancefloors across Europe with its dark groove and killer vocal hook.

Rising star Jonathan Kaspar (Objektivity, Pets Recordings) is first up on the Editions, where he takes things deep. Built around the interplay of synth lines in call and response, his rework is a pure bass monster.

Meanwhile, label regular KatrinKa marks her latest release on Chapter 24 with an Edition that places the emphasis on a trademark infectious groove, paired with a spiritual melodic motif; a perfect balance of darkness and light.

The package is rounded out by Aaaron. The in-demand producer has worked with everyone from Defected and Get Physical to (more recently) Connected and Yoshitoshi. He focuses on deep, powerful drums in a version heavy on tension.

With this latest Chapter there can be no doubt: four different flavours of ‘Disambigua’ which together add up to a clear and coherent whole.

ARTIST BIO
Dan Stringer is a true and proud Montrealer who felt in love with electronic music and decided almost 20 years ago to get involved in the underground music scene first a as promoter but most of all as a DJ/producer and lately as a radio host witj his weekly show, BLACK THERRAPY.

His sound is dirty, sexual, crazy and energetic. It's mainly a high-octane blend of Techno beats blended to some groovy and nasty shits.

Dan can flirt from time to time with some sexy chilling house beats. This other dimension allows him to create some truly intense and unique moments chilling and dipping into a darker dimension in order to bring his crowd to the other side, where our dark fetishes and fantasies lies. Ultimately this unique sound texture has brought him to play at mostly all the venues and illegal rave parties and afterparties in Canada at which he consumed an extremely huge amount of Red Bull allowing him to inspire thousands of people to dance to his beats.

Back in studio, he's currently working on many projects mainly with his son and great friend Ulrich Van Bell, the Born2Porn Records label owner and with some other producers as well.

Dan and is son Danyck, are also the owner of House of Sins Productions a dj collective founded in 2003 by Dan and dj Indica his mentor and partner of the time.

Charles has also played in several events in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and in the Montreal area where he played at the Awake Music Festival. Stay tuned because you ar going to see more of this guy in the upcoming years.

Inspiré dans son travail par de grands noms tels Rick Pier O’Neil (RPO), Nick Warren, Chus&Ceballos, Hernan Cattaneo, Green Velvet ou D-Formation, Chris de la Costa émerge de la scène underground en 2017 avec ses premières apparitions grand publique et depuis, a joué pour le prestigieux Festival Black& Blue, le CIRCUS AfterHours, de même qu’en obtenant une résidence aux soirées Fun Factory du légendaire Salon Daome de Montréal, reconnu pour son standing musical élevé et la qualité de ses danseurs. 

En 2017 et 2018, il réactive son émission radio universitaire TknoGrüv Montréal, qu’il avait tenu en 2003-2004 sur les ondes de CISM 89,3FM, et contribue ainsi à la promotion des talents montréalais à travers le monde en diffusant des Dj locaux durant toute une saison.
