I performed this live at my very first gig on 7/17/21
I curated a mixture of sounds that'll take you on a musical journey. My intention with this set was to have my listeners feel like they are on a warm sunny beach that becomes this aquatic mermaid oasis and finally leads you back to shore at sunset.

Sounds By CHRYSALIS

I wanted to get back to my first intention of curating mixtures of music for moon phases. My first mix I ever did was recorded under the lunar eclipse last year, so I wanted to pay homage to that by creating this mix for this years eclipse. I have noticed my growth since the first go and I wanted to have something that showcases it while also being intentional. 
The moon is in the earth sign Taurus for this eclipse, so its energy is highlighting our sensual experiences and bringing awareness to the material realm. It’s a good time to feel into your body and tune into your senses to pick up on some full moon energy. Look, listen, feel, and fully take in what’s being revealed to you under this lunation. These observations will help you stay present while also giving you some guidance as to how to navigate the eclipse-induced changes.
The full moon eclipse in Taurus is the beginning of a new two year cycle that we are collectively revisiting from 2014. Give it up for your growth. This next level will require your full faith. Flow to your fate.  Alignment is the assignment.

Full Moon

First set of the year I wanted to take my listeners on a rhythmic journey under the sun. This set is full of heavy hitting beats, melodies and some of my favorite Capricorn artists. I wanted to bring life and blessings to the space and create a vibe that will leave everyone feeling full of vitality. I have grown as a person and musician and wanted to put that into practice in this set.

My intention for this was to release and allow myself to journey through sounds I fell in love with this past year with no destination. I wanted to implement the energy I put in my sets whether it be at the kickback, the club, or at a warehouse. It’s a trip through different layers of my mind and it was my first time utilizing 3 CDJ’s.

Use this mix to pregame to, dance to, bop your head to, smoke to, clean to etc. etc.

ECLIPSE

‘Shadow Work’ is a collaborative mix created for my sister Juju's solo art gallery show. I was given a prompt for this mix to blend the worlds of mystical, seduction and ambience. Juju sent me a playlist of songs intended for the show and I utilized the selections with tracks of my own that I felt fit the feeling. This was really beautiful to make as I discovered a deeper meaning for making mixes bound to a specific intention. 

Below is Juju's statement for this mix:

("Shadow Work"is about tending to the neglected parts of self to become dual. Dancing with your shadow self to reveal what ties to strengthen or cut. 
The collection of songs in shadow work mix inspired the making of my gallery show ‘Shadow Work’. The shadowy ambient sound scape is the soundtrack to the fluid and mythical universe my paintings exist in. 

The linear horizontal shape of my gallery pieces is reflected in ‘Shadow Work mix with the extended liquid transitions that flow from each track.

The mix has the archetypal quality of sirens, aliens and seductive creatures.

Play and freedom drive my art. This mix has allowed me to deepen the artistic world I created for Shadow work gallery.)
