In the digital age, the compilation has lost much of it’s former glory. Not too long ago it was an indespensable format for the music-lover. Was it brilliantly compiled and telling a special story, the compilation was a significant gain as a particularly successful artist album. 

In recent times, the compilation has been cheapened with generic ’Ibiza’ and ’Miami’ labelling as the genre compilation all but dissapeared from the scene. 

This brought DJ T. to an idea, to create an homage to this nearly extinct format. As vol. 1 of the project is supposed to be a highly visible counterpoint to the ubiquitous, mostly House and Techno-stocked season sets and theme compilations, his choice fell on Disco; one of the oldest species in club music. Disco is currently experiencing a sort of rennaissance, with many young, and until recently, completely unknown artists and labels carrying the heritage on by working with new and contemporary definitions. 

Naturally limited by the selection of works available digitally, DJ T. chose a very personal array of 43 tracks to give the connoisseur an overview of the newest branches in the Disco-tree and to cover as many diverse genres the last three decades have seen. 

As the ’cherry on top’, the compilation contains a handfull of exclusive and unreleased tracks, including two new edits of the old DJ T. classics ’Philly’ &amp; ’Funk On You’. Catz ’N Dogz appear with a remix of ’Dis’, the big hit of his second album. DJ T. also put his hands on one of his favourite classics ’Around The House’, one of the early works of the Hamburg-Disco-King Tensnake. In addition there are two unreleased tracks from the two mexican artists Robbie Akabal &amp; Muan and Damian Uzabiaga.

Dosem returns to Stereo Productions with a custom-made release, which encapsulates the sound exploration of the prolific producer with the essence and sound of the label. Watch Out EP has two cuts. 'Watch Out' is the track that gives the name to the EP which has a powerful Groove made with strong percussion, organic elements and wrapped with Dosem unmistakable atmosphere. 'Coming For You' is the prelude of the track 'Closer To You' That Stereo releases last year, this epilogue has the same essence, darker & deeper and supported by a strong base and hypnotic melody. Undoubtedly this EP is another example of Dosem's ability to go beyond the sound and perform a perfect job. The exploration of the deeper side of techno by Dosem, since bursting onto the scene almost 10 years ago, has seen him clock up countless air miles, release a string of hit club tracks and earn accolades from many of his peers, who deem him to be one of the most influential underground Spanish DJs in the scene today. The demand for Dosem's infusion of deeply textured sounds, relentless precision drums and driving rhythms which make up his club cuts that are making dance floors shake the world over shows no sign of slowing.

Secondcity delivers a super smooth hypnotic house cut in 'Closer With You' with its liquid funk baseline Rowan delivers a journey into the senses with really cool keys and vocal sampling giving this an instant dace floor enigma feel.

We welcome Spanish legend DJ CHUS to the label and his remix of 'Closer With You' is a masterclass in Melodic house movements . Here CHUS fully utilises the vocal ride but wraps it around an arp lead that meanders the track through soundscapes of heightened stimulation.
