Firmly establishing himself over 18 years ago, DJ CIA originated in a trendy, late night Paris, France backdrop and quickly rooted himself in its vibrant scene. Emerging from the city a couple of years later as a sought after DJ, CIA would go on to enjoy a six night a week summer residency at a hot nightclub on the French Riviera near St. Tropez. But the city of Paris was his birthplace and he continued to maintain a strong musical presence there during the chilly winter months.

Life was bright! In 2002, DJ CIA moved to Maui to play in the warm Hawaiian waves and pursue other artistic passions. But one night, a friend’s turntables sitting idly in the corner of the room seemed to be calling his name. He’s been back dj’ing ever since.

While his style could be described in fun words like bouncy and bumping, CIA explores and dabbles in all sides of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). The dance floor is always lively with joyous dancers reveling in the high energy tracks. His unique style fuses a melody of energetic and uplifting basslines that compel you to move your feet.

Yet there is another side of the signature CIA style that can also be heard around the island consisting of Lounge/Downtempo/Chill elements. Many of Maui’s finer dining locations feature his custom compiled pre-recorded sets. His talent spans EDM genres. Since dj’ing fulltime since the summer of 2008 his venues have varied from the swanky likes of amazing Wailea lounges to cool and trendy hang outs. An ever expanding list of venues is listed below and will give you an even clearer picture of his versatility. DJ CIA doesn’t see himself leaving the music world again. It’s obvious music courses through his veins, and the sublime satisfaction he feels at seeing happy people dancing is infectious. DJ CIA is an incredible addition to the Maui music scene.
