It’s been a long road 
In my late twenties I thought life should’ve been over already 
So how do I know where to start 
When some how I’m still here but at one point I didn’t have a friend in the world because I burned so many bridges It’s good thing that I come from Pittsbiurgh  
I found a way to
change my thoughts then my heairt followed 
and stopped treating people how I felt about myself 
When I was confused about how to make it in this world and it got dark   early at 5 
and I felt hollow   
I walked thru alleys to feel my heart pump in the 
tall shadows 
I’m the only thing that haunts the park I’m the yellow ghost when I die you’ll see the spark of the blunts on Happy Hill 
Where wiz sold 8ths in a rose gold P chain 
So I cut the price of my own by 5 dollars

I just want to share these stories

and never take time off it 

You hate on imaginary people on Instagram  why bother 

 all this work 
finding time to hate another man only gets harder 

Pray to our father we prosper 
That’s the only reason I’m still clean after almost never wearing a condom
I’ll never miss driving pounds in the car with a chest like a Reebok pump 
outside of  Columbus 
It started in south Oakland in vans with gum bottoms 
stuffing a brown paper bag under that couch to set the alley on fire 
and walked away so nonchalant
5 minutes later we heard the sirens

sometimes I get by with a little help from my friends 
but friends start to die so I get high with some help from these meds 
look far to the sky 
make a cross with my finger from my forehead 
across chest and pray to God  
that we strive and prosper 
so these verses will never die 
our father when I get to heaven
I just want to wear Black Tims 
play spades drink beer and smoke blunts 
because lord knows those Newport’s start to take a toll on our lungs 🫁 
The illusion of relief when all it does is the raise the pressure of your blood 
the pressure of my vers make you sweat you know where I claim to be from Point Breeze ever 
since I was seventeen and my dad divorced my mom 
and I saw him once or twice a year and in those years my only job was full time crime like
