“Back To Wild” is the debut album for up and coming artist “goers”. After three singles in 2020, goers finally released his long anticipated solo album. Pointing his feet in a new direction, finding himself influenced in new ways, goers has put together a 12 song album, a little under an hour, that takes you on a trip across borders. Featuring Kalimbas, Mongolian Throat Singers, Duduks, Native American flutes, Guinean vocals and myriad other instruments and sounds, goers has found a way to tie contemporary rhythms (accompanied by global percussion) with instruments and voices from around the world. 

“Back To Wild” exemplifies a type of lifestyle where we get back in touch with nature and our wild self. We seek connection to the animals and natural world around us rather than the concrete jungle. We acknowledge the systemic detachment from the planet and remember to appreciate and listen to the many lessons our plant brothers and sisters gently bestow upon us as they support our livelihood and health. In their wisdom we rediscover our purpose on this planet based in gratitude and reciprocity.

Spirit Groove is one of those songs where you wrap the headphones around your ears, close your eyes, and explore the audible world laid out before you. A meditative guitar loop grabs our attention and doesn’t let go. As we find comfort in this stringed mantra, we follow it into the landscape of the song where percussive elements and ethereal vocals compliment the lead bass which takes center stage. As the song flows and the path meanders different beats emerge, as well as sonic elements such as wind instruments, assorted vocals and relaxing synthesizers. The composition ebbs and flows and eventually brings us back to our familiar finger picked mantra. This song has a unique ability to sometimes make you want to dance and move your body, and other times rest and quietly enjoy.
